Welcome! It's nice to be back after our summer vacation. It's time for a new challenge at STAMPlorations CAS. This month our challenge is

Here's my card

I started this card by applying an anti-static bag over some white cardstock. I then stamped the "inside" of the coffee cup using STAMPlorations Coffee to Go: Fall + Winter stamp set with Hero Arts soft granite ink. I immediately applied clear embossing powder to the "wet" ink and heat set the image. I focused on the pumpkin because I was wanting to add color with a Copic marker. It was a good thing that I was using my MISTI because I needed to re-apply the ink and embossing powder to get good coverage of the pumpkin outline before heat setting it. I haven't yet mastered being able to use my heat tool without warping the paper. I set the image under some paper to flatten it out. I then used Copic YR16 to add color to the pumpkin. I then stamped the outline of the coffee cup using the same stamp set and fussy cut the image out. For the background, I used some post-it tape to mask off a horizontal area and used ARTplorations Dots 'N Beans stencil with hickory smoke distress ink to create the background stripe. I completed my card with a small nest of silver thread, placed behind the coffee cup. Here's a close-up.

We'd love to see how you're inspired to create a clean and simple card.
