STAMPlorations ~ Found Fragments #1, #2, #3 & Maker's Mark #1 ~ NEW!

There are some new products in the store at STAMPlorations. The Found Fragments stamps are three stamps, available separately which help to add interest to a simple background. The Maker's Mark stamp set helps to personalize your card projects. I have a few samples to share today.

Card 1

For this card, I smooshed some distress inks - dried marigold, candied apple, antique linen with some water onto an A2 panel of 100 lb bristol. I let the panel dry. I stamped STAMPlorations' Found Fragments #1, #2, and #3 with Gina K Design's Soft Stone ink as a 2nd generation meaning the first stamp was onto scrap paper and the second stamp was onto the panel to give a more muted look. I used a STAMPlorations' Color Me Spring ATC matted with cream cardstock as my focal image. I stamped the sentiment using STAMPlorations' Gratitude Trees and Concord & 9th's Cobblestone ink. I glued the focal image in place and adhered the panel to a cream A2 card base with double-sided tape to complete my card. As a finishing touch, I stamped using one of the STAMPlorations' Maker's Mark #1's stamp on the back of the card with PinkFresh Studio's Berrylicious ink and I signed my name with a silver gel pen.

Card 2

For this card, I cut a STAMPlorations' Faded Botanicals Collage Paper to A2 size. I again, did some second generation stamping with STAMPlorations' Found Fragments #1, #2 and Concord & 9th's Buttercup ink and PinkFresh Studio's Summer Shower inks. I grouped some STAMPlorations' Bloom Burst - Ephemera and used a blue sentiment banner stamped with a sentiment using STAMPlorations' Gratitude Trees stamp set. I glued the pieces onto the A2 panel. To finish my card, I adhered the panel to a white A2 card base with double-sided tape.

Card 3

For this card, I started with a cream A2 card panel. I stamped STAMPlorations' Found Fragments #2, #3 using both first and second generation stamping using Concord & 9th's Clementine and Sorbet inks. I found it easiest to use an acrylic block for the generational stamping. I also ink blended some PinkFresh Studio's Meadow ink randomly with an oval ink blending brush. I used another of STAMPlorations' Color Me Spring ATCs, this time matted with black. I glued the focal image a bit offset and added a STAMPlorations Just Thank You clear sticker for the sentiment. I adhered the panel to a cream A2 card base to finish my card.

While this is a departure from my typical clean and simple style, it's fun to experiment and try new things.

Die Cut Divas ~ Recycle, Re-Use and Repurpose with Art Impressions

Here's my card

For my card, I used a brown envelope that I rescued from the recycle bin at work.

I cut a piece, a little larger than A2 size from the envelope and embossed it with Spellbinders' EOM-Jun 24, Summertime Waves embossing folder. I ink blended some of the ridges with Gathered Twigs distress ink applied with an oval ink blending brush to make my background panel. I used Art Impressions' Java GCH die set with some patterned paper for the cup and other scraps of cardstock for the other elements. I glued the pieces together to create the coffee cup. I glued the cup to the background panel. I had a hard time choosing a sentiment and where to put it, so I decided to leave it without a sentiment. To finish off my card, I adhered the panel to a cream A2 card base with double-sided tape.

Here's my card

I made this card using Simon Says STAMP's STAMPtember collaboration with Clearly Besotted, titled Magical Christmas. I stamped the scene on a white A2 card base and the unicorn on a scrap of white cardstock with Memento Tuxedo Black ink. I added color with Ohuhu markers  BG038, G191, G289, G483, R193, R586, V284, Y397 and Copic marker B00. I made a mask with a Sizzix circle die and added some tumbled glass distress ink along the edges of the circle with an oval ink blending brush. Then, I fussy cut the unicorn and glued it in place. For the sentiment, I used the same stamp set and heat set the sentiment using silver embossing powder to finish my card.

Try A Sketch On Tuesday ~ Challenge #705

There's a new challenge starting up at Try A Sketch On Tuesday. Here's the sketch that we hope will inspire you to get crafty.

Here's my card. I kept the same autumnal feel but brightened the colors up.

I started out by choosing 5 autumnal colors of cardstock and cut a strip 1" x 3". I glued the strips to a dark brown piece of cardstock measuring 3 1/8" x 5 3/8" keeping the spacing between the strips the same. I looked through my stash for a maple leaf die and couldn't find one. I used a Paper Smooches' Seasonal Tree die which die cuts 3 maple leaves at the same time and die cut 5 leaves which I glued to each of the strips. For the sentiment, I used Paper Smooches' Chit Chat stamp set with gold embossing powder on a kraft A2 card panel. I glued the focal panel to the card panel and to finish my card, I adhered the A2 card panel to a white A2 card base with double-sided tape.

Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge #701

Happy Monday! It's still Monday here on the West Coast. Time for a new challenge at Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge. Here's the sketch.

Here's my card

I wasn't really sure what to do with this week's sketch. I took the easy way out. I turned the slimline card into a square card because it was easier. LOL. I started with a 4" x 4" piece of pretty floral patterned paper and with my paper trimmer cut it into 1" squares. As I cut the squares, I was careful to not the orientation of the square and position on my 4 x 4 grid so that the pattern of the paper was preserved. I glued the squares onto a white 4 1/4" square card base to complete my card. I didn't know what to do with a sentiment, so I left the card without a sentiment. Like I said, I took the easy way out with this sketch.

As I look at the sketch again, it might have been nice to do a color ombre design with squares of colored cardstock.

Here's my card

I was inspired by the circle in the lower, right quadrant and the focal image being something that flies. I used Pink & Main's Mask It Circle with tumbled glass distress ink lightly applied with an oval ink blending brush on a white A2 card base. I stamped the image using Avery Elle's Dyno-Mite Day and Memento Tuxedo Black ink. I added color with Ohuhu markers G191, R193, V189. For the sentiment, I used STAMPlorations' Dino Things stamp set. I love a good pun-ny sentiment.

Here's my card

I started this one layer card by masking off a 1 1/2" vertical strip with post-it tape. I made 3/4" and 1" circle masks using punches and post-it notes. I added color with distress inks - cracked pistachio, peacock feathers, shaded lilac applied with oval ink blending brushes. I removed the masks and stamped this vine and sentiment using Gina K Design's Wild Blossoms.

Here's my card

I chose inks and markers to make my mark. I started with Pink & Main's Fresh Blooms stamp set and coordinating dies that I received as part of my Scrapbook & Cards Today's Crop & Created Delivered March 2026 event kit. I stamped the trio of flowers using Memento Tuxedo Black ink and added color with Ohuhu markers G483, V284, V567, Y295, Y494. I used the coordinating die to die cut the flowers as well as die cutting the window box. I used the small grouping of flowers to stamp them randomly on a light blue cardstock with PinkFresh Studio's Ocean Breeze ink to create my own patterned paper. For the sentiment, I used Your Next Stamp's Thank You Sentiments using Gina K Design's Soft Stone ink. I trimmed the panel slightly and matted with a dark teal A2 card panel. To finish off my card, I adhered the panel to a white A2 card base with double-sided tape.

Here's my card

For the background, I used Heffy Doodle's Stoney Maloney stencil with Concord & 9th's cobblestone ink applied with an oval ink blending brush. I ended up masking the central area because I tried a few times and kept over-ink blending. For the images, I used Gerda Steiner Design's You Rock stamp set. I stamped the images on white cardstock with Memento Tuxedo Black ink. I added color with Ohuhu G345, RV687, WG170 and Copic C3. I cut the two trapezoids and matted with black cardsock. For the sentiment, I stamped using the same stamp set and Versafine Onyx Black ink. I adhered the panel to a white A2 card base to complete my card.

Here's my card

For my card, I used a pocket for the shape with Paper Smooches' Pocket die. I did some ink to paper with Gina K Design's Powder Blue ink to give it a faded jean effect. I stamped the sentiment using Simon Says STAMP's Lots of Thanks stamp set and Gina K Design's Soft Stone ink. I added some flowers and leaves using Paper Smooches' Flowers 2 die and some scraps of cardstock. I found some plaid paper that went with my colors and cut a 5 1/2" x 1 1/4" strip. I adhered the pieces to a light gray A2 card panel with glue. To finish my card, I adhered the panel to a white A2 card base with double-sided tape.

A few days ago, I shared a few cards using STAMPlorations STAMPcuts Retro Gratitude. Today, I'm sharing a few cards using STAMPlorations STAMPcuts Retro Christmas.

Here's my first card

For this card, I used STAMPlorations' Christmas Icons - Nativity x 2 die. I die cut the nativity scene from black cardstock and I die cut the star using gold cardstock. I glued the gold star in place. I ink blended using a pouncer and white pigment ink on a dark blue A2 card panel behind where the star would be placed. I glued the die cut in place. Also, I glued a STAMPcuts Retro Christmas typography die cut in place. To finish my card, I adhered the panel to a white A2 card base with double-sided tape.

Here's my second card.

For this card, I started with STAMPlorations Christmas Tree 1 stencil and evergreen bough distress ink on a white A2 card base. I added a STAMPlorations Christmas Backgrounds ATC #1 after matting it with dark green cardstock. I adhered it to the background at an angle. For the STAMPlorations STAMPcuts Retro Christmas die cut, I used a marker to color over the yellow/gold part to make the colors work together better. I popped the die cut up with dimensional adhesive for a bit of dimension.

AAA Cards ~ Challenge #323

Time for a new clean and simple challenge at AAA Cards. The challenge for the next two weeks is

When I saw this challenge, I knew what I had to make. Here's my card.

Yup. I was finally able to use my Stuart stamp and One in a Minion and Thanks set of 2 sentiment stamp from Crackerbox Stamps. I stamped Stuart using Memento Tuxedo Black ink on white cardstock. I added color using Ohuhu marker MG170 and Copic markers B24, C2, E29, Y06, Y17. I trimmed the white to 2" x 2 3/4" and matted with blue cardstock. I stamped the sentiment on some white cardstock and trimmed to a fish-tail banner. I found some bright yellow patterned paper similar to Stuart and cut a 2" x 5 1/2" strip for behind Stuart and the sentiment. I adhered the pieces in place on a white A2 card base to complete my card.

STAMPlorations ~ STAMPcuts Retro Gratitude ~ NEW!

It's so amazing how many product ideas, Shery, the owner of STAMPlorations has. Now, she has come up with STAMPcuts Retro Gratitude. They are a collection of 15 STAMPcuts™  which are ready to use, die-cut typography pieces that add bold, beautifully layerd sentiments for cards, journals, scrapbook pages and other creative projects. 

Here's my first card using the STAMPcuts Retro Gratitude.

For my card, I started with a cream A2 card base and STAMPlorations' Beautiful Mandala Accent #2 stencil. This stencil is designed for a slimline card and worked great on one edge of the card. I masked a small area along the edge of the stencil. I added color with distress inks, similar to the colors of the STAMPcuts Retro Gratitude typography die cut that I chose. I used mustard seed, spiced marmalade, mowed lawn and gathered twigs distress inks applied with oval ink blending brushes. I popped the STAMPcut on dimensionals to complete this card.

Here's my second card using a STAMPcuts Retro Gratitude typography die cut.

For this card, I used STAMPlorations' Delicate Leaves and Circles Flexi-Template stencils. I stacked three of the flexi-template stencil to mask off the circle and stacked the delicate leaves stencil on top. I added color with distress inks - mustard seed, spiced marmalade, mowed lawn and gathered twigs, applied with oval ink blending brushes. I trimmed the white A2 panel slightly and matted with an amber colored cardstock. I again popped up the STAMPcuts typography die cut with dimensionals. I adhered the panel to a white A2 card base to complete my card.
