I stamped the Christmas symbols from Catherine Pooler's Holiday Charm Stamp set, onto a piece of 96 lb bristol. I added colour using a water brush and distress inks (candied apple, mustard seed, mowed lawn, salty ocean). I trimmed the panel and matted it with gold cardstock. The sentiment is from The Ton's Holiday Flourish stamp set, which was heat embossed with gold embossing powder. I added a bit of shine using some glitter gel pens.

Addicted to Stamps and More! Challenge #369

It's time for a new challenge at Addicted to Stamps and More!. This week the challenge is

Clean and Simple - that's a style I'm most comfortable with. Here's my card. Although, it's not as "neat" as my usual cards, there is still a lot of white space to make this a clean and simple card.

I started with Altenew's Hello Sunshine stamp set. I stamped various plants, arranged horizontally on a piece of 96 lb bristol, with Versafine Onyx Black ink. I gave the ink plenty of time to dry. I then added some smudges of colour using distress inks (ripe persimmon, mowed lawn, mustard seed, picked raspberry, wilted violet, spiced marmalade, mermaid lagoon, candied apple) applied with a water brush. I trimmed the panel down to 4.25" x 2.75" and matted it with black to make the panel pop.The sentiment is from Your Next Stamp's Sweet Little Greetings stamp set.

STAMPlorations CAS ~ November reminder post

It's time for STAMPlorations reminder post here. Our challenge, this month is

No photo description available.

Here's my card.

As you can see, I didn't use the optional color twist. LOL! I made a one-layer card using ARTplorations A Bloom and Three Buds stencil and distress oxides (abandoned coral, peeled paint) applied with oval make-up brushes. For the sentiment, I used STAMPloratins Faith Expressions, stamped with Hero Arts Charcoal ink. The sentiment I chose, was one, I needed to read. It's a good reminder.

Perfectly CAS ~ November Challenge

It's time for a new challenge at Perfectly CAS. This month the challenge is

Here's my card

Have I told you how much I enjoy making clean and simple cards? I find all the white space to be pretty calming. As we approach the upcoming crazy Christmas season, it's nice to calm, right? For my one layer card, I started by masking off a 1.5" strip with post-it tape. I then used Kaisercraft's Poinsettia stencil and added colour using distress inks (barn door, fired brick, mowed lawn, mustard seed and aged mahogany) and ink daubers. I carefully removed the post-it tape. The sentiment is from Hero Arts Holiday Ornaments stamp and cut set.

Addicted to Stamps and More! Challenge # 367

It's time for a new challenge at Addicted to Stamps and More! This week the challenge is

Here is my card

I inked up an acrylic block with distress inks (tumbled glass, salty ocean, peacock feathers) and spritzed some water on the block before applying the block onto a piece of 96lb bristol. When the ink dried, I stamped some fish, using Simon Says STAMP's Best Fishes stamp set. I couldn't resist stamping one fish going the wrong way. To make their eyes pop, I used a UniBall Signo white pen for their eyes. The sentiment is from the same stamp set.

We'd love to see how you "make your mark" this week.
