AAA ~ Challenge #320

It's time for our next challenge at AAA Cards. Here's our next code word.

Here's my card. I chose S is for Snowman

For my card, I used Sunny Studio's Snowman Kisses stamp set. I stamped this cute snowman on a white A2 card base with Memento Tuxedo Black ink. I added color with Ohuhu markers BG038, G284, G472, MG109, R586, YR792. I stamped the sentiment using the same stamp set. To add some snowflakes, I stamped and heat embossed with clear embossing powder. Here's a close-up.

We'd love to see your S is for ... card in our gallery. Be sure to keep your card Clean and Simple.

AAA Cards ~ Challenge #319

Our clean and simple challenge at AAA Cards is a color challenge. Here are the colors

When I saw these colors, I thought about flowers. Here's my card.

For my card, I chose STAMPlorations' Flowers 1 stencil with picked raspberry, carved pumpkin, mustard seed and kitsch flamingo distress inks applied with an oval ink blending brush. To keep my card clean and simple, I used post-it tape to limit my stencilling to a 1 1/2" x 4" area on a white A2 panel. I used some scraps of paper to help separate the colors as I was stencilling. I added a simple sentiment using Clearly Besotted's A Little Sentimental stamp set. To finish the card, I adhered the panel to a white A2 card base with double-sided tape.

We'd love to see how you're inspired by our color challenge in our gallery.

AAA Cards ~ Challenge #318

Time for a new clean and simple challenge at AAA Cards. Our challenge is to Follow the Lead of Marlies.

Here is Marlies' card for inspiration.

Here's my card

I rotated the card 90 degrees. I started by die cutting the cute sheep using Concord & 9th's Happy Herd dies. I glued the pieces together to make four sheep. I ink blended the grass on the bottom of a light blue A2 panel with Lawn Fawn's Grassy Stencil and mowed lawn distress ink applied with an oval ink blending brush. For the sentiment, I chose, like Marlies, a pun-ny sentiment. I stamped it using Clearly Besotted's Feeling Sheepish with Versafine Onyx Black ink and PinkFresh Studio's Mermaid Cove ink. I glued the sheep in place. To finish my card, I adhered the panel to a white A2 card base with double-sided tape.

We'd love to see how you're inspired by Marlies' card in our gallery.

AAA Cards ~ Challenge #317

Ready? New challenge starting at AAA Cards. Here's the sketch.

Here's my card

For my one layer card, I stamped the image using Gina K Designs' Peaceful Petals stamp set  which I received as part of Scrapbook and Cards Today's Crop & Create Delivered  Spring 2026 event kit and Versafine Onyx Black ink. I added color with the coordinating stencils that I also received in the event kit and distress inks - wilted violet, Mowed lawn, blueprint sketch. The sentiment uses the Simon Says STAMP's Bouquet of Thanks stamp set. To complete my card, I adhered the one layer panel to a white A2 card base with double-sided tape.

We'd love to see your interpretation of our sketch in our gallery.

AAA Cards ~ Challenge #316

It's time for a new challenge at AAA Cards. For the next two weeks, here is our challenge.

So, I chose "Beach" to go with "Summer". Here's my card

I started my card with Pink & Main's Mask It Circle stencil and a white A2 panel. I cut a scrap piece of cardstock with a slight curve. I used this to add the sky by ink blending with tumbled glass distress ink applied with an oval ink blending brush. I used the "negative" piece to add the beach by ink blending with antique linen with an oval ink blending brush. I removed the circle stencil. I stamped the sentiment using Honey Bee Stamps' Hello Summer stamp set and PinkFresh Studio's Sapphire ink. I stamped the shells, starfish and flip flops using the same stamp set with Memento Tuxedo Black ink. I added color with Ohuhu markers B281, B290, BG038, BG042, E494, R193, V189. I die cut the images with the coordinating die set. I glued them in place around the sentiment. To finish my card, I adhered the A2 panel to a white A2 card base with double-sided tape.

We'd love to see how you're inspired by our challenge in our gallery.

AAA Cards ~ Challenge #315

It's time for a new challenge at AAA Cards. For those of you new to AAA Cards, it's a spot to showcase clean and simple cards. Here's the sketch for the next two weeks.

Here's my take on the sketch.

For my card, I used Spellbinders' Squeaky Clean die set and Spellbinders' New Day Sentiments stamp set. I received both sets as part of the event kit for Scrapbook and Cards Today's Crop & Create Delivered Spring 2026 event. I die cut the spray bottle, the sponge and the scrubby brush from scraps of cardstock and glued the pieces together. I wanted to create a little "mess" to help focus the die cuts on so I ink blended a blob of antique linen distress ink  in the top right corner of a white A2 card base. I stamped the sentiment in place and glued the die cuts to the card to complete my card.

We'd love to see how you are inspired by our sketch by adding your card to our gallery.

AAA Cards ~ Challenge #314

There's a new challenge starting at AAA Cards. Here's our inspiration for the next fortnight.

Here's my card

My card uses Simon Hurley products that I received as part of the Spring 2026 Crop & Create Delivered event box. I used Simon Hurley's Snappy Birthday stamp set and coordinating die set. I stamped the crocodile image using Memento Tuxedo Black ink and added color with Ohuhu markers B289, BG042, E357, G289, G345, G472, R865, V189, V284, WG150 and Y397. I then die cut out the crocodile. I wanted to keep my card, clean and simple. I wanted to add a little color behind my crocodile so I lightly ink blended with tumbled glass distress ink onto a white A2 card base. I stamped the sentiment from the same stamp set below and glued the crocodile in place to complete my card. What a fun image, Simon!

We'd love to see your CAKE-inspired cards in our gallery. Please remember to keep your cards clean and simple as we are a clean and simple challenge group.

AAA Cards ~ Challenge #313

There is a new color challenge at AAA Cards starting. Here's the color challenge grid.

It took me some time to get some inspiration on how to use thes colors. Here's my card.

I used Spellbinders Flying High stamp set and die set that I received as part of the event kit for Scrapbook & Cards Today's Crop & Create Delivered March 2025. I die cut the pieces using scraps of cardstock in the colors of the challenge. I glued the pieces together (before I lost any, LOL!). The bird seemed to get lost on a white A2 card base. So I added a light oval using My Favorite Things' Oval Extraordinaire stencil and dusty concord distress ink, applied with a light hand and oval ink blending brush to a white A2 card base. I stamped the sentiment with the coordinating stamp set with the dusty concord ink. I glued my bird friend in place to complete my card.

We'd love to see what you create using our colors in our color challenge in our gallery. Please remember to keep your creations Clean and Simple!

AAA Cards ~ Challenge #312

For me, I appreciate the calm and quiet of crafting, especially when making clean and simple cards. It's time for a new clean and simple challenge at AAA Cards. Our challenge for the next two weeks is

We're following Jane's lead. Here's her card.

Here's my card

I focused on a colourful vertical strip, slightly to the left of the card and a large black "hi" sentiment placed over the colourful strip, slightly below the center of the card. My card is slightly smaller than A2 because the stencil I used wasn't "tall" enough. The finished card is 4" x 5 1/8". I started with a white A2 card panel and STAMPlorations Bloomdalascopic #2 stencil. I masked off some areas and added colour with distress inks - picked raspberry, wilted violet, mustard seed, mowed lawn applied with mini ink blending brushes. I trimmed the panel and matted with black cardstock. For the sentiment, I used Concord & 9th's Brightside Blooms die that I received as part of Concord & 9th's Winter Retreat 2026 kit and some black cardstock. I glued the letters to the panel. To complete my card, I adhered the panel to a white A2 card base and then trimmed it to a 4" x 5 1/8" card.

We'd love to see how you're inspired by Jane's card in our gallery.

AAA Cards ~ Challenge #311

Ready for another clean and simple challenge? Over at AAA Cards, we have a fun challenge.

This was a tough one for me. I couldn't find something interesting that started with the letter E. I found a Kindred Stamps stamp set with Eeyore and felt this was my E word (after all, Eeyore has 3 Es out of 6 letters!). Here's my card

For my card, I used the Eeyore stamp from Kindred Stamps' Childhood Friends stamp set. I stamped Eeyore with Memento Tuxedo Black ink on white cardstock. I added color with Ohuhu markers MG069, MG109 and Copic markers E41, V06. I cut the cardstock into a 2" square. I matted with dark gray cardstock. I found some weathered plank patterned paper and cut a 4 1/4" x 1 1/2" strip to back the focal panel. I adhered the strip and the focal square onto a white A2 card base and I used Simon Says STAMP's Handwritten Sentiments stamp set for the sentiment.

We'd love to see what you create based on the letter E in our gallery.

AAA Cards ~ Challenge #310

We have a new challenge starting at AAA Cards. Here's our challenge for the next two weeks.

Here's my card

Zoo animals? How could I resist? Yup, I couldn't! For my card, I used Pawsome Stamps' Picture Pals. I stamped the animals with Memento Tuxedo Black ink on white cardstock. I added color with Ohuhu markers B575, E769, G483, R586, WG170, Y696, 120 and Copic markers E41, E43, R11. I used a 1 1/2" circle punch to punch out each animal. For the background, I masked off a 2" area of a light gray A2 card panel and used STAMPlorations ARTplorations Crisscrossed stencil with Concord & 9th's Mushroom ink applied with an ink blending brush. For the sentiment, I used Simon Says STAMP's Critter Crowd stamp set and Versafine Onyx Black ink. To complete my card, I adhered the A2 panel to a white A2 card base with double-sided tape.

We'd love to see your clean and simple creation in our gallery. Will you be able to resist adding critters?

AAA Cards ~ Challenge #309

It's time for a new challenge at AAA Cards. Our challenge for the next fortnight is

The premise of this challenge is to choose "spring" plus one other prompt. For my card, I chose the flowers prompt. Here's my card

For my clean and simple, one layer card, I started with a white A2 card base. I used Simon Says STAMP's Slimline Floral stencil with distress inks - wilted violet, carved pumpkin, picked raspberry, mustard seed, mowed lawn, applied with mini ink blending brushes. For the sentiment, I used Simon Says STAMP's Flower Friend stamp set.

We'd love to see what you create in our gallery.

AAA Cards ~ Challenge #308

It's time for a new challenge at AAA Cards. This challenge is a sketch challenge. Here's the sketch.

Here's my card

For my card, I used candles for the vertical elements. I used Rubbernecker Stamps' Candle Set. I had to mask the candles as it's a set of three candles and stamped them with Memento Tuxedo Black ink onto a white A2 card panel. I added color with Ohuhu markers G477, R586, RV390, Y295, Y397, Y494. I used Simon Says STAMP's Archie Jr. Solid number dies to die cut the "2" from a scrap of blue cardstock. I die cut the circle using a Sizzix circle die. The sentiment uses Clearly Besotted's Many Mini Messages. To complete my card, I adhered the panel to a white A2 card base with double-sided tape.

We'd love to see how you are inspired by our sketch in our gallery.

AAA Cards ~ Challenge #307

We have a new challenge starting at AAA Cards. Our challenge this fortnight is a color challenge.

Here's my card

For my card, I used Stamp Market's A Bit of Everything die set which I received as part of Scrapbook & Cards' Crop & Create Delivered October 2021 event kit. I cut some thin strips (1/4") of colored cardstock that were as close to the color challenge as I could find. I die cut the heart shape with the "thank you" cut out from white cardstock. I actually cut two, one for the top and one for the bottom. I glued the strips to the top of the bottom die cut and trimmed them down. I then glued the top die cut and "inner" letter pieces to the stripes. I found some patterned paper for a background and die cut it with a My Favorite Things' Stitched Square STAX die. I adhered the background and heart in place to a white A2 card base to complete my card.

We'd love to see your card that adheres to our color challenge in our gallery.

AAA Cards ~ Challenge #306

Welcome to our first challenge of 2026 at AAA Cards. Our challenge is a "follow my lead" challenge. We're to follow Francesca's lead. Here is her card for inspiration.

Here's my take on her sketch.

I was inspired by Francesca's placement of elements. For the horizontal element, I masked off an area and used STAMPlorations' Placid stencil with distress inks - cracked pistachio, peacock feathers, tumbled glass and mermaid lagoon applied with oval ink blending brushes on a white A2 card base. I removed the mask. Then, I stamped the fish using Simon Says STAMP's Best Fishes and Paper Smooches' Surf N Turf stamp sets and Memento Tuxedo Black ink. I added color with Ohuhu markers - B883, BG042, G289, RV687, V284, YR792 and fussy cut the fish. For the sentiment, I used Simon Says STAMP's Best Fishes stamp set and Versafine Onyx Black ink. I glued the fish to the ink blended area to complete my card.

We'd love to see how you're inspired by Francesca's card in our gallery.

AAA Cards ~ Challenge #305

Time for a new clean and simple challenge at AAA Cards. This is our last challenge of 2025. Here's the challenge

Here's my card. I've incorporated the Optional Twist - white on white.

For my card, I used Elizabeth Craft Designs' Twiggy Things die set. I die cut the wreath and three of the three layer flowers. I gently curled the petals of each layer of the flowers for a bit of dimension and glued the three layers together. I glued the wreath and the flowers to a white A2 card base. For the sentiment, I die cut it using PinkFresh Studio's Scripted Greetings die set. I glued the word, "Thanks" in the center of the wreath to complete the card.

We'd love for you to join us this fortnight. Please add your clean and simple card to our gallery. Will you use the Optional Twist or not?
