Addicted to Stamps and More! ~ Challenge #523

It's time for our next challenge at Addicted to Stamps and More! The next challenge in our rotation is

Here's my card

I love this little deer. I stamped it and the party hat and cupcake using Lawn Fawn's Happy Birthday Deer stamp set that I received as part of Scrapbook & Cards Today's Crop & Create Delivered March 2022 event kit. I stamped using Memento Tuxedo Black ink and added color with Ohuhu markers B289, E280, E357, MG170, R192, R193, V284, WG150, Y494. I die cut the images out using the coordinating die set that we also received in our event kit. For the background, on a white A2 card panel, I used Lawn Fawn's Confetti stencil with distress inks - salvaged patina and wilted violet and PinkFresh Studio's sparkling rose ink applied with oval ink blending brushes. I glued the deer, its hat and cupcake to the background. For the sentiment, I used a scrap of teal cardstock, Clearly Besotted's A Little Sentimental stamp set and a My Favorite Things' Skinny Strips die. I glued it in place. To finish my card, I adhered the panel to a white A2 card base with double-sided tape.

We'd love to see your BIRTHDAY creations in our gallery.

Addicted to Stamps and More! ~ Challenge #522

Time for a new challenge at Addicted to Stamps and More! The next challenge on our rotation is

Here's my card

For my card, I started with Simon Says STAMP's Outline Heart of Christmas die. I die cut the outline from sparkly white cardstock. It doesn't really show in a photo. I die cut once more with white cardstock. I used the white outline to stack under the sparkly cardstock for some dimension. For the heart die cuts, I ink blended using abandoned coral, picked raspberry, peacock feathers, mustard seed and gathered twigs distress inks with mini ink blending brushes. I glued the stacked outline onto a pink A2 card panel and glued the hearts ink place. For the sentiment, I heat embossed using The Ton's Holiday Flourish stamp set and silver embossing powder. To finish my card, I adhered the pink A2 panel to a white A2 card base with double-sided tape.

We'd love to see your Christmas cards in our gallery.

Addicted to Stamps and More! Challenge #520

Next challenge up at Addicted to Stamps and More! is

Here's my card

I saw the Concord & 9th's Fish Friends set and just knew I needed to have it. Of course, I have no idea how I will use them for cards that I will use. The fish are so super cute. I used the C9 Fish Friends stencil with distress inks - picked raspberry, fossilized amber, and Gina K Design's Soft Stone ink applied with oval ink blending brushes and die cut the fish. For the seaweed, I die cut it using colored cardstock and added a bit of shading with evergreen bough and peeled paint distress inks applied with oval ink blending brushes. I arranged the seaweed and fish on a light teal A2 card panel and glued them in place. For the sentiment, I used Simon Says STAMP's Best Fishes stamp set and Versafine Onyx Black ink. To finish my card, I adhered the panel to a white A2 card base with double-sided tape.

Addicted to Stamps and More! Challenge #518

Hi Crafty Friends! Time for the next challenge in our rotation of challenges at Addicted to Stamps and More!

Here's my card

A friend of mine was celebrating her 70th birthday and another mutual friend was holding a Surprise Birthday Party for her. I decided to go "all out" and create a birthday card. On a white A2 panel, I used Honey Bee's Celebrate Stencil set that I received as part of a Scrapbook and Cards Today's Crop & Create Delivered March 2022. I added color with distress inks - carved ripe persimmon, candied apple, carved pumpkin, wilted violet, mermaid lagoon, applied with ink blending brushes. I stamped the little bunny using Avery Elle's Shout It Out stamp set with Memento Tuxedo Black ink. I added color with Ohuhu markers R193, R586, RV210, WG150, WG170, Y397,  YR295. I fussy cut the image and glued it in place. For the sentiment, I stamped using Paper Smooches' Sentiment Sampler.

For the inside of the card

I stencilled the candles from Scrapbook & Cards Today's Celebrations Delivered event kit and distress inks - carved pumpkin, ripe persimmon, candied apple, picked raspberry, wilted violet, mermaid lagoon, blueprint sketch, mustard seed applied with oval ink blending brushes. I die cut the candles using the coordinating die. For the balloons, I used Lawn Fawn's Happy Birthday Deer stamp and die sets that I received as part of Scrapbook & Cards Today's Crop & Create Delivered March 2022 event kit. I stamped the balloons with Memento Tuxedo Black ink and added color with Ohuhu markers R586, RV210 and Copic markers YR04. I die cut them out with the coordinating die. For the little bunny, I used Mama Elephant's Feel Better stamp and die sets that I received as part of the Scrapbook & Cards Today's Crop & Create Delivered Fall 2022 event kit. I stamped the bunny with Memento Tuxedo Black ink and added color with Ohuhu markers WG150, R193 and Copic marker BG10. I die cut the bunny with the coordinating die. I used Lawn Fawn's Happy Birthday Deer stamp set and coordinating die for the little cupcake that the bunny is holding.

I embossed a blue and orange A2 panel with Spellbinder's EOM - May 23 Candles for Every Birthday embossing folder. I adhered them to the insides of a white A2 card base. I used Concord & 9th's Pop-Up Base dies as a mechanism for the candles, balloons and little bunny to pop up when the card is opened.

The card was a lot of work but I think I achieved my goal of making my friend feel special with a special Birthday card.

We'd love to see your birthday creations in our gallery.

Here's my card

For my card, it's the second card of a trio of cards made when using Taylored Expressions' Triple Slim Layering Stencil - Holly Holiday. Here's the first card I made click here. I used the Triple Slim Layering Stencil with distress inks - candied apple, fired brick, mowed lawn, old paper applied with oval ink blending brushes. The ink blended panel was cut in three to create a trio of Christmas cards. I added a die cut sentiment using Simon Says STAMP's Deco Tree and gold cardstock. I adhered the slimline panel to a white A2 slimline card base to complete my card.

We'd love to see you Christmas cards in our gallery.

Addicted to Stamps and More! Challenge #516

It's time for a new challenge at Addicted to Stamps and More! The next challenge in our rotation is

Here's my card

On February 10th of this year, there was a mass shooting in northern British Columbia. A FB group I belong to, began collecting "Thinking of You" cards for the community. I made three cards (similar to this one) to send up. On a white A2 card base, I used Pink & Main's Mask It Circle stencil and Simon Says STAMP's Holiday Horizon stencil. I used old paper and hickory smoke distress inks applied with small oval ink blending brushes. The sentiment uses Clearly Besotted's Many Mini Messages stamp set and Concord & 9th's Dove ink. I used distress inks and black dye ink to make my marks on my one layer card.

We'd love to see how you make your marks on your creations in our gallery.

Addicted to Stamps and More! Challenge #515

Next challenge in our rotation of challenges, up at Addicted to Stamps and More! is

Here's my card

I love it when stamp companies create a bundle of products that go together - stamp set, stencils, die set. It really makes things easier. For my card, I used Gina K Designs' Peaceful Poinsettia stamp set, die set and coloring stencils that I received as part of my event kit for Scrapbook and Cards Today's Crop & Create Delivered Fall 2025 event. Quite obviously, I did not use the poinsettia part of the bundle but rather the pretty leafy bits. I stamped the images. I used distress inks - bundled sage and peacock feathers applied with small ink blending brushes and then I die cut the image. With some light blue cardstock, I die cut using a Scrapbook.com's Nested Stitched Shaped die. For the sentiment, I used Your Next Stamp's Cool Tag Banner Sentiments stamp set and a scrap of green cardstock. I trimmed the sentiment into a sentiment strip. I glued the leafy bits to the blue die cut and glued the sentiment strip in place. To complete my card, I adhered the blue panel to a light gray card base with double-sided tape.

We'd love to see your die cut &/or stencil creation in our gallery.

Addicted to Stamps and More! Challenge #514

Hi Crafty Friends! There is a new challenge starting at Addicted to Stamps and More! For the next two weeks, our challenge is

Here's my card

A co-worker of mine (one of my favorite co-workers) was just promoted. So, I created this card. It was the first time that I made something like this. Good thing I like this co-worker because it took a few hours to create. I started by stamping this cute bunny using Avery Elle's Shout it Out stamp set and Memento Tuxedo Black ink. I also stamped these hard hats and safety vests using Pretty Pink Posh's Utility Vehicles stamp set. I colored the images with Ohuhu markers B289, B575, BG042, FY010, FY020, G483, MG170, R193, R586, WG170, Y494 and fussy tu them. I used Honey Bee's Layering Streamers - Confetti stencil with candied apple, carved pumpkin, mustard seed distress inks applied with small oval ink blending brushes. The sentiment is cut with a die that I received as part of Scrapbook & Cards' Celebrations Delivered event kit, held February 2024. I glued the pieces to the front of a white A2 card base. Inside ...

I used Concord & 9th's Pop-Up Base dies. I stamped the fire hydrants using Avery Elle's Dog-Gone stamp set with Memento Tuxedo Black ink. The dump truck and loader were made using Pretty Pink Posh's Layered Construction Trucks stencil and mustard seed, black soot, weather wood distress inks applied with oval ink blending brushes. I fussy cut the images out. For the trees, I used dies that I received in my Concord & 9th's Winter Retreat 2026 kit.

We'd love to see your ANY OCCASION cards in our gallery.

Addicted to Stamps and More! ~ Challenge #513

The next challenge in our challenge rotation at Addicted to Stamps and More! is

Here's my card

For my card, I started by creating my background panel. You would think that based on the huge collection of patterned papers in my stash that I wouldn't have to create my own background paper. However, it's so fun. I started with a panel of 100 lb bristol and distress inks - wilted violet, cracked pistachio, mermaid lagoon. I smooshed the ink on a plastic place mat, spritzed a bit of water and picked up the ink with a piece of acetate packaging. I added one color at a time and continued until I was happy with the result. I let the panel dry. Once dry, I die cut it with a My Favorite Things' Stitched Square STAX die. I die cut the sprig using Memory Box's Large Olive Branch die and some silver cardstock and glued it to the smooshed panel, trimming the excess. For the sentiment, I used Clearly Besotted's A Little Sentimental with silver embossing powder on a white A2 card base. To complete my card, I adhered the watercolor panel to the card base with double-sided tape.

We'd love to see your BIRTHDAY creations in our gallery.

Addicted to Stamps and More! ~ Challenge #512

We have a new challenge at Addicted to Stamps and More! The next challenge in our rotation is

Here's my card

For my card, I used Taylored Expressions' Triple Slimline Layering Stencils - Holly Holiday. What I love about this kind of Taylored Expressions' stencils is that you created multiple card fronts at the same time. So I used the layering stencils and distress inks - candied apple, fired brick, mowed lawn, old paper applied with oval ink blending brushes. I cut the three panels and chose this one to start. To complete the card, I die cut the sentiment using Simon Says STAMP's Deco Tree die set with gold cardstock and glued it in place. To finish my card, I adhered this panel to a white 5 3/4" x 3 1/4" card base with double-sided tape.

We'd love to see your Christmas cards in our gallery. It's not early to get a start!

Addicted to Stamps and More! ~ Challenge #511 ~ Make Your Mark

Time for a new challenge at Addicted to Stamps and More! Next on our rotation of challenges is

Here's my card

For my card, I masked off a frame, leaving the central area. I ink blended in the central area with picked raspberry distress ink, applied with an oval ink blending brush. I removed the mask and with a dry brush, added Perfect Pearls - perfect pearls all over the inked area. The Perfect Pearls adheres to the "wet" inked area. I then used a Spellbinders' Embossing Folder of the Month - EOM Dec 2022 called Heart Blooms. I created a sentiment strip on red cardstock using CTMH's Say It All Stampaganza 2017 stamp set and silver embossing powder. I cut the sentiment strip equal to the width of the pink area and adhered it in place. To complete my card, I adhered the panel to a white A2 card base with double-sided tape.

Here's my card

I ink blended the background panel some time ago using Kat Scrappiness' Ball of Yarn stencil with distress inks - mermaid lagoon, peacock feathers, mowed lawn applied with oval ink blending brushes. For the kitty, I used Sizzix' Mischievous thinlits to die cut the kitty from black cardstock and the face from gray cardstock. I glued the face to the body and added some facial marks with a thin black marker. The sentiment uses Technique Tuesday's Kyle the Cool Cat stamp set. I trimmed the panel slightly and matted with a dark teal A2 panel. I adhered the panel to a white A2 card base to complete the card.
