On a white A2 card base, I masked off an area 1 7/8" x 3" with Post-it tape. In the central area, I used Pink & Main's Rectangle Patterns stencil and Mustard Seed distress ink, applied with an oval ink blending brush. I carefully removed the Post-it tape. I die cut the sentiment using some blue cardstock using the Pink & Main's Envelope Pop Up Card dies. For the flowers and leaves, I started by scribbling Copic markers on white cardstock to create colored cardstock. I like the variations in the intensity of the color. I used Copic markers B12, B29, BG13, BG23, RV06, V04, Y06, Y15. I then die cut the flowers and foliage using the same Pink & Main die set. I stamped the sentiment using Clearly Besotted's A Little Sentimental stamp set to complete my one-layer card.</div><div style="text-align: left;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: left;">We'd love to see your clean and simple (CAS) cards in our gallery. Here it is</span></p><p style="text-align: center;"><span style="font-family: helvetica;"></span></p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><span style="font-family: helvetica;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/a/AVvXsEgLLWJIpufgXHuorcPtUVH86qdoqUmHZGt0Xy5QIfQ6ZskSUX9kWWV2onGPr4c6EGAkNskklkuIN49UZ2JTZFHw6MxrqPejXPwwH9bdQuGCs-DaE_JdynRtLvj5fDCe1wBXsTq5hKoz1y5XCxTaVaiqt41yGD1IlBzIeHJZ4z_A9LYdsMgGjR0K0_pomUE" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img alt="" data-original-height="974" data-original-width="694" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/a/AVvXsEgLLWJIpufgXHuorcPtUVH86qdoqUmHZGt0Xy5QIfQ6ZskSUX9kWWV2onGPr4c6EGAkNskklkuIN49UZ2JTZFHw6MxrqPejXPwwH9bdQuGCs-DaE_JdynRtLvj5fDCe1wBXsTq5hKoz1y5XCxTaVaiqt41yGD1IlBzIeHJZ4z_A9LYdsMgGjR0K0_pomUE=w228-h320" width="228" /></a></span></div><span style="font-family: helvetica;"><br /><div style="text-align: left;">Here is my card</div><div style="text-align: left;"><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjNUtbmi9naR431csoOEkwvqRtnoU1lWso6c90ZhG1RPsCQN41PcAANitvN8hXBq_bOm072idKlEv-xge9j1mGM3pIRskErSm90GD1g6knlVnVfxijZfCASYimLUjAr5_uwpBzMwM3RR_p76YU9FuXdMOyd_KEZwAB5JjEJMthnJ4iDQD6rvFobTg-Uvw8/s757/563.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="757" data-original-width="757" height="400" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjNUtbmi9naR431csoOEkwvqRtnoU1lWso6c90ZhG1RPsCQN41PcAANitvN8hXBq_bOm072idKlEv-xge9j1mGM3pIRskErSm90GD1g6knlVnVfxijZfCASYimLUjAr5_uwpBzMwM3RR_p76YU9FuXdMOyd_KEZwAB5JjEJMthnJ4iDQD6rvFobTg-Uvw8/w400-h400/563.jpg" width="400" /></a></div><br /><div style="text-align: left;">I just love rainbow clouds. The colors just make me so happy. So for this card, I made a vertical strip of clouds in rainbow color order. I used Simon Says STAMP's Clouds for Days and Slimline Floral stencils and distress inks - wilted violet, picked raspberry, carved pumpkin, mustard seed, mowed lawn, peacock feathers, blueprint sketch; applied with oval ink blending brushes. I used Lavinia Stamp's Birds stamp to stamp the flock of birds. For the sentiment, I used My Favorite Things' Blissful Butterflies stamp set and Concord & 9th's Dove ink. I used a Sizzix circle die to die cut the sentiment. To help the sentiment circle die cut pop a bit, I added a bright pink mat die cut with a Spellbinders' Scalloped Circle die. I used a scrap of dark gray for the fishtail banner. I glued all the pieces in place and adhered the panel to a white A2 card base to complete my card.</div><div style="text-align: left;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: left;">We'd love to see how you were inspired by our sketch by adding your card to our gallery.</div><div style="text-align: left;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: left;">Thanks for stopping by</div><div style="text-align: left;"><span style="color: #800180;">sue</span></div><div style="text-align: left;"><span style="color: #800180;"><br /></span></div><div style="text-align: left;"><span style="color: #999999; font-family: times, "times new roman", serif;">This site uses cookies from Google to deliver its services and analyze traffic. I smooshed the distress oxides on a plastic place mat and spritzed with some water. I placed the bristol in the puddle of ink to transfer some ink. I heat set and repeated until I achieved a mottled look. I repeated the process with each of the distress inks. When completely dried, I die cut using a Memory Box's Cherub Hearts die. For the sentiment strip, I heat embossed using Clearly Besotted's Many Mini Messages and silver embossing powder on a scrap of gray cardstock. I die cut the sentiment strip using a My Favorite Things Skinny Strips die. Our challenge this month is to use</span></p><p style="text-align: center;"><span style="font-family: helvetica;">NEVER BEFORE USED STUFF</span></p><p style="text-align: left;"><span style="font-family: helvetica;">We don't have a sponsor this month. However, <a href="https://whimsystamps.com/">Whimsy Stamps</a> has kindly provided us with a $15 gift voucher to give to our winner this month. A big thank you to Whimsy Stamps.</span></p><p style="text-align: left;"><span style="font-family: helvetica;">Here's my card. My only Whimsy Stamp set that I fell into the category of NEVER BEFORE USED STUFF, I used for my card earlier this month - <a href="https://foleysfriend.blogspot.com/2024/01/die-cut-divas-never-before-used-stuff.html">here</a>. I have a lot of supplies that I could have used. I decided to use a never before used, super cute Avery Elle stamp set. </span></p><p style="text-align: center;"></p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg9Hlpj-8HLrOuUNGywZkcEZeYFl-nExXEJmZU-bAzk5qZHInKocnPAz3G_32NhnafX91GKb25G9CE_Pga352nnklRCoNGdekmSrRCYZGYWOI_rU5KOjMufvc4igrFNaMlFMvmDdKY7UDBkfxwww1mlVUwIp1nl0ZyyIKmrtAt-Mbk-LAy4Mf4kZtEfXeE/s701/2024%2001%20Jan%20B.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="701" data-original-width="701" height="400" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg9Hlpj-8HLrOuUNGywZkcEZeYFl-nExXEJmZU-bAzk5qZHInKocnPAz3G_32NhnafX91GKb25G9CE_Pga352nnklRCoNGdekmSrRCYZGYWOI_rU5KOjMufvc4igrFNaMlFMvmDdKY7UDBkfxwww1mlVUwIp1nl0ZyyIKmrtAt-Mbk-LAy4Mf4kZtEfXeE/w400-h400/2024%2001%20Jan%20B.jpg" width="400" /></a></div><br /><div style="text-align: left;"><span style="font-family: helvetica;">I used the Dino-mite Day stamp set by Avery Elle. I die cut the image with an Echo Park stitched oval nesting die. I found some plaid patterned paper and a light olive A2 card panel to complement my image. I didn't want to add a sentiment. I masked off the various areas and added color with distress inks - cracked pistachio, peacock feathers, mermaid lagoon using oval ink blending brushes. For the sentiment element, I stamped the sentiment using Simon Says STAMP's Many Thanks stamp set and PinkFresh Studio's Slumber ink on white cardstock. I die cut a circle, with a Sizzix circle die. I added the scalloped edge using royal blue cardstock and a Spellbinders scalloped circle die. I added a sprig of eucalyptus using a Simon Says STAMP's Eucalyptus Leaves die. I adhered the panel to a white A2 card base to complete my card.</span></div><div style="text-align: left;"><span style="font-family: helvetica;"><br /></span></div><div style="text-align: left;"><span style="font-family: helvetica;">We'd love to see how you're inspired by our sketch.</span></div><div style="text-align: left;"><span style="font-family: helvetica;"><br /></span></div><div style="text-align: left;"><span style="font-family: helvetica;">Thanks for stopping by</span></div><div style="text-align: left;"><span style="font-family: helvetica;"><span style="color: #800180;">sue</span></span></div><div style="text-align: left;"><span style="font-family: helvetica;"><span style="color: #800180;"><br /></span></span></div><div style="text-align: left;"><span style="color: #999999; font-family: times, "times new roman", serif;">This site uses cookies from Google to deliver its services and analyze traffic.
