Addicted to CAS ~ Challenge #316

Here's our next challenge at Addicted to CAS. The next code word is

Here's my card

For my card, I started with an A2 panel of 100 lb bristol. I inked up an acrylic block that measures about 4 1/2" x 1 1/2" with wilted violet and dustry concord distress inks. Before applying the ink side of the acrylic block to the paper, I spritzed some water on the block. I then "stamped" the ink to the right side of the A2 panel. I carefully lifted the acrylic block. There were some voids in the color. I wanted to get better color coverage, so I added some ink with some water and a brush. I put the panel aside to dry. I masked the left edge of the purple area and stamped with an image from Gina K Design's Friendly Silhouettes stamp set and Versafine Onyx Black ink. I stamped the sentiment using Simon Says STAMP's Lots of Thanks stamp set. To complete my card, I adhered the panel to a white A2 card base with double-sided tape.

We'd love to see your PURPLE creations in our gallery.

Addicted to CAS ~ Challenge #315

There is a new challenge starting at Addicted to CAS. Our code word is

Here's my card

For my card, I used Memory Box's Cherish Border die and some white glitter paper. I also used the die with pink cardstock for the inlay hearts. On a light gray A2 card panel, I heat embossed the sentiment with Hero Arts Everyday  Greetings stamp set and silver embossing powder. I glued the glitter border in place and glued the pink hearts too. I felt that the card needed a pop of color. Here's a close-up.

We'd love to see your ANNIVERSARY cards in our gallery. Please remember to keep your card clean and simple.

Addicted to CAS ~ Chalenge #314

It's time for a new clean and simple challenge at Addicted to CAS. Our code word for the next two weeks is

I saw this code word and wondered what I would create. This is what I came up with.

I stamped this mermaid using Ink Blot Shop's Ahoy stamp set and Memento Tuxedo Black ink. I added color with Ohuhu markers B289, R192, R295, V284, Y397, Y595 and Copic marker E50. I fussy cut the image. For the background, with a white A2 card base, I used Pink & Main's Mask It Circle and Concord & 9th's Fish Friends stencil pack with salvaged patina distress ink, applied with an oval ink blending brush. The sentiment is from Sunny Studio's Oceans of Joy stamp set.

We'd love to see how the word WATER inspires you in our gallery.

Addicted to CAS ~ Challenge #312

Super fun clean and simple challenge starting at Addicted to CAS. Here's our new code word.

What a clever code word. I had different ideas floating (get it, floating?) in my head. I settled on this one. Here's my card.

I made this card using Your Next Stamp's You Lift Me Up stamp set and coordinating die. I stamped the image with Memento Tuxedo Black ink on white cardstock and added color with Ohuhu markers BG038, R192, RV390, WG170, Y295, Y583 and Copic marker B00. I die cut with the coordinating dies and used silver cardstock for the globe structure. I heat embossed the sentiment from the same stamp set using silver embossing powder onto a white A2 card base. I glued the globe structure and image in place to finish my card.

We'd love to see how you're inspired by our code word UP in our gallery.

Addicted to CAS ~ Challenge #311

There's a new code word at Addicted to CAS. Here's the code word

I made one card using patterned papers but I didn't care for it. So I switched directions and made this card.

I started this card with Gina K Design's Beautiful Day stamp set and Gina K Design's Beautiful Patterns stamp set. I received both these stamp sets as part of the Scrapbook and Cards Today's Crop & Create Delivered September 2024 event kit. I inked up the floral image in my MISTI with Gina K Design's Bubblegum Pink and then I inked up one of the patterns on an acrylic block using Gina K Design's Passionate Pink ink. I "stamped" the pattern image onto the floral image in my MISTI and then stamped the image onto white cardstock. Similarly, I stamped the leaves in my MISTI with Gina K Design's Key Lime ink and inked up a different pattern on an acrylic block using Gina K Design's Asparagus ink . I "stamped" the pattern onto the leaves image in my MISTI and stamped the image into place. I love how the patterns and darker inks show against the floral and leafy image. I stamped the sentiment using Gina K Design's Soft Stone ink. I trimmed the panel to 2 1/2" x 3 3/4" and matted with pink cardstock. I adhered this panel to a white A2 card base with double sided tape to complete my card.

We'd love to see your "pattern" creations in our gallery.

Addicted to CAS ~ Challenge #310

It was my turn to choose the code word for our next challenge at Addicted to CAS. Here's the code word

Here's my card

For my card, the frame I chose was a "polaroid" photo frame. I started with this cute llama using Pawsome Stamps' Picture Pals stamp set. I stamped the image with Memento Tuxedo Black ink and added color with Ohuhu markers G191, R197, V189, WG150 and Copic marker E41. I die cut the white frame and die cut the image using a Lawn Fawn's Say Cheese, Again die. I ink blended along the edge of the "photo" with speckled egg distress ink. For the sentiment, I used Clearly Besotted's Many Mini Messages and Gina K Design's Soft Stone ink. Starting with a white A2 card base, I added a dark gray strip and the photo and frame with some glue to complete my card.

We'd love to see your FRAME-inspired cards in our gallery.

Addicted to CAS ~ Challenge #306

Ready for some Clean and Simple crafting? We have a new challenge starting at Addicted to CAS. Here's our code word.

Here's my card. I used a postage stamp edged die on my card.

For my card, I started with the Concord & 9th's Avocado Cabin Gift from their Summer Retreat 2025. I used the die set from scraps of cardstock. I die cut the "frame" using Scrapbook.com's Nested Stitched Stamps, Decorative Die Set from dark gray cardstock. I glued the pieces of the Avocado Cabin Gift onto the "frame". I adhered this to a white A2 card base. For the sentiment, I used Spellbinders' Flying High Stamp set, that I received in my Scrapbook and Cards Today's Crop & Create Delivered Spring 2025, and silver embossing powder. My card was now complete.

We'd love to see how the word POSTAGE influences your clean and simple card in our gallery. Also, we're looking for to add to our Design Team. Addicted to CAS ~ Challenge #305

Ready for a new clean and simple challenge? A new challenge is starting at Addicted to CAS. Here's our new code word for the next two weeks.

So, I looked through my "collection" of stamps, stencils and dies and was stumped - how could I convey the message of FAMILY? I settled on this.

I stamped this hen and her chicks using Simon Hurley's Spring Chicken stamp set and Memento Tuxedo Black ink. I added color with Ohuhu markers - B389, G483, R193, R586, Y397, Y696, YR295 and Copic marker YG91. I fussy cut the images. To create the background on a white A2 card base, I used Pink & Main's Mask It Circle and Lawn Fawn's Grassy stencil with mowed lawn distress ink applied with an oval ink blending brush. For the sky, I ink blended some tumbled glass distress ink, also applied with an oval ink blending brush. I removed the stencil and stamped the sentiment using the same stamp set. Not sure how to translate "CLUCK" into English - LOL! To complete the card, I glued the hen and her chicks in place.

We'd love to see your FAMILY clean and simple creation in our gallery.

Addicted to CAS ~ Challenge #302

It's time for a new code word at Addicted to CAS. This fortnight, it was my turn to select the code word.

Here's my card

Living in the Pacific Northwest, it's really no surprise that I pick a rainy day for my weather card. I stamped this duck on a white A2 panel with Memento Tuxedo Black ink. I added color  with Ohuhu markers B289 BG042, G289, R193 and Copic markers BG10, Y02, Y06, Y38.
