Addicted to Stamps and More! Challenge #365

It's time for a new challenge at Addicted to Stamps and More!. This week the challenge is a photo inspiration.

I was inspired by the colours of Halloween and the pumpkin. Here's my card

I started by stamping the pumpkin using Unity's Bountiful Fall stamp with Memento Tuxedo Black ink. I used Copic markers (C2, Y06, G82, Y38, V12, YR04, BG10, E21) to add colour to the image. I used a Sizzix circle die to diecut the image. I found a scrap of striped patterned papers and cut it to 5.5" x 1.25". The sentiment is from Your Next Stamp's Many Thanks stamp set. I put everything on an A2 kraft card panel.

STAMPlorations ~ Birthday Celebration (a little late)

Life happens and sometimes things don't go according to plan. Take STAMPlorations' birthday celebrations - it was planned for June and well, things happened and required time to re-group. So here we are, now, celebrating STAMPlorations Birthday!

No photo description available.

For our birthday celebration, I've used STAMPlorations clear stickers - you can find them here. Here's my first card

I masked off a 1.75" horizontal strip with post-it tape. I added distress oxides (twisted citron, peacock feathers, salty ocean) with an oval makeup brush. I then stamped the images from STAMPlorations' Party Mates stamp set. I carefully removed the post-it tape. I then trimmed the clear sticker from STAMPlorations Clear Stickers Sampler Pack and carefully adhered it to my card.

For my second card

I challenged myself to make a card in less than 5 minutes. You know, for those times, you need a card, now! I believe that these clear stickers are the perfect way to make a card quickly. I chose some patterned paper and a coordinating solid cardstock for the A2 card base. I adhered the clear sticker from STAMPlorations Birthday Word set to the patterned paper and adhered it to the blue cardstock. I added a few sequins for a bit of sparkle. A pretty birthday card that looks like you've spent a great deal of time making. Your secret is safe with me!

Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge #339

It's a rainy Monday here in Vancouver. It's time for a new challenge at Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge. Here's this week's sketch

Here's my card

I started by stamping the flower and leaves using Hero Arts Graphic Flowers stamp set with Hero Arts Orchid and Field Greens inks. I fussy cut the images. I used Pink & Main Spring Flings 6x6 paper pack for the coordinating papers. The sentiment is from Your Next Stamp's Many Thanks stamp set. I added a sparkly adhesive dot in the center of the flower for a bit of bling.

Addicted to Stamps and More! Challenge # 363

It's time for a new challenge at Addicted to Stamps and More! This week, the challenge is

Here's my card

I started with Gina K's Mini Wreath builder template and Gina K's Mini Wreath builder stamp set. Using my "regular sized" MISTI, I created the wreath by stamping the holly leaf, the pine bough and berries using Hero Arts inks (field greens, pale tomato and pine, respectively). The trick for me was finding a sentiment that would fit inside the wreath. I used Clearly Besotted's Say What? stamp set for the sentiment, stamped with Hero Arts Charcoal ink. I found some patterned papers that went with my colors and added a few sequins for a bit of sparkle.

STAMPlorations ~ October Reminder Post

It's time for a reminder post for our current challenge at STAMPlorations CAS Challenge. This month's challenge is

Here' my card

I obviously didn't apply the optional color twist for my card. Using post-it tape, I masked off a 1.5" strip. Using the flower outline stamp from STAMPlorations It's A Girl Thing: Sunshine stamp set, I stamped it repeatedly with Versafine Onyx Black ink. I carefully removed the post-it tape. The flowers appeared to be floating, so to "ground them", using a fine black marker, I drew horizontal lines, outlining the stamped area. I stamped the sentiment, from the same stamp set onto a teal blue cardstock. I trimmed it and hand-drew a frame. I think that the pop of colour helps to bring out the sentiment - which is a  nice reminder of a helpful life lesson.

Perfectly CAS ~ October Challenge

It's time for a new challenge at Perfectly CAS. This month's challenge is

Here's my card

For my card, I started out by inking up an A2 card panel with distress oxide inks (mustard seed, spiced marmalade and picked raspberry) with an oval makeup brush. To add the bokeh-inspired circles, I punched out circles with circle punches (0.75", 1", 1.25" using post-it notes) to use as masks. I then randomly placed them and added Color BOx Frost White Pigment ink with an ink dauber. I cut a 1.5" strip to use for this card and am saving the rest for another project. I adhered the strip and added a simple sentiment, stamped from Clearly Besotted's A Little Sentimental stamp set to complete the card.

I noticed, that for the most-part, the majority of people who joined us last month for the challenge, understood the CAS (only covering one-third of your card) part of the challenge. It was fun to see what you created.

Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge #337

Happy Monday! It's time for a new challenge at Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge. Here's this week's sketch

Here's my card

I started with papers from Echo Park's 6x6 Country Drive paper pack. Those 6x6 paper packs make coordinating patterned paper so easy! I added the green strip from my scrap pile. The sentiment is from Simon Says STAMP's Floral Bliss stamp set and I die cut the heart using Memory Box's Cherub Hearts dies. To complete the card, I added a thin strip of silver cardstock.

We'd love to see how you're inspired by this week's sketch.

Here's my card

I love using stencils. This card was made with Simon Says STAMP's Bouquet of Roses and distress inks (picked raspberry, mowed lawn), applied with ink blending tools on an A2 card base. I added a small banner for the sentiment from Papertrey Ink's Communique Curves Sentiments Stamp Set.
