It seems like Christmas is just around the corner. I feel that time speeds up once we get to November. I have like a million things to do before the jolly guy visits.
We have a Holiday TAGplortions Challenge starting at STAMPlorations and we'd love for you to join us.
I've made a couple of tags for this challenge.
Tag #1
For my tag, I die cut a piece of cream cardstock with STAMPlorations' CUTplorations Stitched Tags - Nesting Dies. I heat embossed the sentiment using STAMPlorations' Christmas Bell Medley stamp set and gold embossing powder. Then, I stamped the poinsettias using the same stamp set and Gina K Design's Cherry Red and Hero Arts Red Royal ink. Using my MISTI, I stamped the image first with Cherry Red. Then, I added some Red Royal towards the center of the stamp. As I inked with a ink cube, to soften the edges of the ink, I used an ink blending brush. I continued stamping the image in this way to mostly cover the tag. To finish off my tag, I added some green ribbon.
Tag #2
For this tag, I also die cut the tag using STAMPlorations' CUTplorations Stitched Tags - Nesting Dies from cream cardstock. I also heat embossed the sentiment using STAMPlorations' Christmas Bell Medley and gold embossing powder. I stamped the pine boughs. On some boughs, I stamped using my MISTI and used PinkFresh Studio's Meadow ink. I added a bit of PinkFresh Studio's Aquamarine ink along the edges of the bough. I softened the edges with an ink blending brush. On other boughs, I stamped using PinkFresh Studio's Ocean Breeze ink. I added some Gina K Design's Turquoise Sea along the edges of the bough. I softened the edges with an ink blending brush.
