Die Cut Divas ~ End of the Month with PoppyStamps

It's the last day of our May Challenge at Die Cut Divas.

Our sponsor this month is PoppyStamps. They will be giving our winner a $20 gift card. Sorry, only those with US addresses are eligible for the prize.

Our challenge for the month of May is

CELEBRATIONS

Here's my card

For my card, I started with PoppyStamps' Birthday Penguin dies. Using some scraps of cardstock, I die cut the pieces of the birthday penguin and glued the pieces of the little penguin wearing a birthday hat together. I felt that I needed to add something behind the penguin to separate it from a white A2 cardbase. I die cut a circle using a circle die. For the sentiment, I used another scrap of cardstock, the same one I used for his hat, and stamped the sentiment using Clearly Besotted's A Little Sentimental stamp set. I die cut the sentiment out using a My Favorite Things' Skinny Strips die. I glued the elements in place to complete my card.

Our challenge ends tonight at 9 pm Pacific. We'd love to see your CELEBRATION card in our gallery.

Addicted to Stamps and More! Challenge #518

Hi Crafty Friends! Time for the next challenge in our rotation of challenges at Addicted to Stamps and More!

Here's my card

A friend of mine was celebrating her 70th birthday and another mutual friend was holding a Surprise Birthday Party for her. I decided to go "all out" and create a birthday card. On a white A2 panel, I used Honey Bee's Celebrate Stencil set that I received as part of a Scrapbook and Cards Today's Crop & Create Delivered March 2022. I added color with distress inks - carved ripe persimmon, candied apple, carved pumpkin, wilted violet, mermaid lagoon, applied with ink blending brushes. I stamped the little bunny using Avery Elle's Shout It Out stamp set with Memento Tuxedo Black ink. I added color with Ohuhu markers R193, R586, RV210, WG150, WG170, Y397,  YR295. I fussy cut the image and glued it in place. For the sentiment, I stamped using Paper Smooches' Sentiment Sampler.

For the inside of the card

I stencilled the candles from Scrapbook & Cards Today's Celebrations Delivered event kit and distress inks - carved pumpkin, ripe persimmon, candied apple, picked raspberry, wilted violet, mermaid lagoon, blueprint sketch, mustard seed applied with oval ink blending brushes. I die cut the candles using the coordinating die. For the balloons, I used Lawn Fawn's Happy Birthday Deer stamp and die sets that I received as part of Scrapbook & Cards Today's Crop & Create Delivered March 2022 event kit. I stamped the balloons with Memento Tuxedo Black ink and added color with Ohuhu markers R586, RV210 and Copic markers YR04. I die cut them out with the coordinating die. For the little bunny, I used Mama Elephant's Feel Better stamp and die sets that I received as part of the Scrapbook & Cards Today's Crop & Create Delivered Fall 2022 event kit. I stamped the bunny with Memento Tuxedo Black ink and added color with Ohuhu markers WG150, R193 and Copic marker BG10. I die cut the bunny with the coordinating die. I used Lawn Fawn's Happy Birthday Deer stamp set and coordinating die for the little cupcake that the bunny is holding.

I embossed a blue and orange A2 panel with Spellbinder's EOM - May 23 Candles for Every Birthday embossing folder. I adhered them to the insides of a white A2 card base. I used Concord & 9th's Pop-Up Base dies as a mechanism for the candles, balloons and little bunny to pop up when the card is opened.

The card was a lot of work but I think I achieved my goal of making my friend feel special with a special Birthday card.

We'd love to see your birthday creations in our gallery.

Try A Sketch On Tuesday ~ Challenge #696

Hi Friends! We have a new sketch challenge for you at Try A Sketch On Tuesday. Here is the sketch.

I added color with Ohuhu markers 120, B29, BG042, BG082, E357, R193, V189,WG140, WG150, WG170, Y397. I die cut the images with the coordinating dies. For the frame and background panels for the images, I used Scrapbook.com's Nested Stitched Scalloped Frames. I glued the die cuts to the frame backgrounds and then glued the frames and frame backgrounds on the A2 panel. AAA Cards ~ Challenge #315

It's time for a new challenge at AAA Cards. For those of you new to AAA Cards, it's a spot to showcase clean and simple cards. Here's the sketch for the next two weeks.

Here's my take on the sketch.

For my card, I used Spellbinders' Squeaky Clean die set and Spellbinders' New Day Sentiments stamp set. I received both sets as part of the event kit for Scrapbook and Cards Today's Crop & Create Delivered Spring 2026 event. I die cut the spray bottle, the sponge and the scrubby brush from scraps of cardstock and glued the pieces together. I wanted to create a little "mess" to help focus the die cuts on so I ink blended a blob of antique linen distress ink  in the top right corner of a white A2 card base. I stamped the sentiment in place and glued the die cuts to the card to complete my card.

We'd love to see how you are inspired by our sketch by adding your card to our gallery.

STAMPlorations and the 2026 Spring/Summer Coffee Lovers Blog Hop

We at STAMPlorations are joining in the fun at the 2026 Spring/Summer Coffee Lovers Blog Hop

Here's my Coffee-inspired card

I added a bit of color using STAMPlorations Donts 'n Beans stencil and distress inks - antique linen, peeled paint and PinkFresh Studio's ballet slipper ink applied with oval ink blending brushes. For the sentiment, I used STAMPlorations Brew-tiful Day stamp set. I stamped the words on natural cardstock and trimmed them to rectangles. To help them pop against the busy background, I matted them with black cardstock. To finish my card, I adhered the panel to a white A2 card base with double-sided tape.

Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge ~ Challenge #681

It's Monday and time for a new challenge at Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge. Here's the sketch

Here's my card

I love the Simon Hurley Spring Chicken stamp set. So much in fact, that I bought it twice. My lucky friend received the duplicate as a gift. I stamped this cool chicken on white cardstock with Memento Tuxedo Black ink and added color with Ohuhu markers G483, R584, V284, Y585, Y792. I stamped the sentiment close to the chicken and cut them into a 2 1/4" square I matted with a golden cardstock. I found some striped patterned paper which helped me to color my image. I cut it to A2 size and found some dark red cardstock which I cut to 1 3/4"  x 5 1/4". I glued the dark red strip and the chicken image in place. To complete my card, I adhered the panel to a white A2 card base with double-sided tape.

I ink blended the edges with pumice stone distress ink for a bit of a grunge look. I stamped the image using STAMPlorations Hello Coffee stamp set. I added color with some markers. I stamped the sentiment using STAMPlorations Fond Expressions 2 stamp set. I glued the torn edge panel onto a natural A2 card base. To complete my card, I drew a frame with a thin black marker around the torn edge panel.

AAA Cards ~ Challenge #314

There's a new challenge starting at AAA Cards. Here's our inspiration for the next fortnight.

Here's my card

My card uses Simon Hurley products that I received as part of the Spring 2026 Crop & Create Delivered event box. I used Simon Hurley's Snappy Birthday stamp set and coordinating die set. I stamped the crocodile image using Memento Tuxedo Black ink and added color with Ohuhu markers B289, BG042, E357, G289, G345, G472, R865, V189, V284, WG150 and Y397. I then die cut out the crocodile. I wanted to keep my card, clean and simple. I wanted to add a little color behind my crocodile so I lightly ink blended with tumbled glass distress ink onto a white A2 card base. I stamped the sentiment from the same stamp set below and glued the crocodile in place to complete my card. What a fun image, Simon!

We'd love to see your CAKE-inspired cards in our gallery. Please remember to keep your cards clean and simple as we are a clean and simple challenge group.
