STAMPlorations ~ Perfect Pairs: Party and Wishes

More new products at STAMPlorations, called Perfect Pairs. Each Perfect Pair comes with a two-stamp set and a pack of coordinating ephemera. I received the Perfect Pairs: Party and Wishes.

Here are two cards that I've made with the Perfect Pairs: Party and Wishes set.

For this card, I stamped the sentiment three times, using my MISTI and Taylored Expressions Dried Fig ink on a yellow A2 card panel. I glued the party hats from the ephemera pack above the stamped sentiment. To complete my card, I adhered the panel to a white A2 card base with double-sided tape.

For this card, I stamped the sentiment twice on five different colors of cardstock. I cut the sentiment elements to rectangles, about 2 1/2" x 7/8". I arranged them on a light blue A2 card panel and glued them into place. I added the gift from the pack of ephemera using dimensional adhesives. To finish my card, I adhered the panel to a white A2 card base with double-sided tape.

Addicted to CAS ~ Challenge #315

There is a new challenge starting at Addicted to CAS. Our code word is

Here's my card

For my card, I used Memory Box's Cherish Border die and some white glitter paper. I also used the die with pink cardstock for the inlay hearts. On a light gray A2 card panel, I heat embossed the sentiment with Hero Arts Everyday  Greetings stamp set and silver embossing powder. I glued the glitter border in place and glued the pink hearts too. I felt that the card needed a pop of color. Here's a close-up.

We'd love to see your ANNIVERSARY cards in our gallery. Please remember to keep your card clean and simple.

STAMPlorations ~ Simple Expressions

Hi! I have a few cards to show you today which feature Simple Expressions stamps at STAMPlorations. They released 18 sets containing two stamps focusing on the same
"simple expression". They are available at an affordable price of $5 US each.

Here's my first SIMPLE EXPRESSIONS card. I was given the Simple Expressions: Choose clear stamps to work with.

For my card, I used a STAMPlorations Botanical Beats collage paper, cut about 4" x 5 1/4". I adhered it to a cream A2 card base. I stamped "CHOOSE to see the good" with PinkFresh Studio's Evergreen ink. I cut one of STAMPlorations Pop Art Faces A2 Card Fronts and matted with black cardstock. I ink blended the edge of the card front with frayed burlap distress ink applied with an oval ink blending brush. I adhered the "eyes" on an angle to the card front to complete my card.

Here's my second card using STAMPlorations' Simple Expressions: Choose clear stamps.

For this card, I chose another of STAMPlorations' Pop Art Faces A2 Card Fronts. I trimmed it and matted with gold cardstock. I adhered it to a cream A2 card base. I heat embossed the sentiment using gold embossing powder on cream cardstock and fussy cut it out. I glued it to gold cardstock and fussy cut it. I adhered it to the center of the card to complete Card 2.

Here's card 3 using STAMPlorations' Simple Expressions: Choose clear stamps.

For this card, I heat embossed the sentiment using clear embossing powder on some colored cardstock. I trimmed them to sentiment strips. I paired them with a STAMPlorations Retro Femme ATC. I adhered the elements to a medium gray A2 card panel and then to a white A2 card base.

Here's my last card, today, using STAMPlorations' Simple Expressions: Choose clear stamps.

For this card, I used STAMPlorations' Zen Hearts stencil and picked raspberry, festive berries and candied apple distress inks applied randomly with oval ink blending brushes. I fussy cut the heart. I heat embossed the sentiment with silver embossing powder and trimmed to form a sentiment strip. I glued the heart and sentiment to a medium gray A2 card panel and then adhered the panel to a white A2 card base.

If you're looking for an affordable way to get into stamping, STAMPlorations' Simple Expressions stamps are a great place to start.

Addicted to Stamps and More! ~ Challenge #524

Time for a new challenge at Addicted to Stamps and More! The next challenge in our rotation of challenges is

Here's my card

I made this card for a co-worker. He wasn't the successful candidate for a promotion. I wanted to make a card letting him know that he would have been a good choice for the promotion. I made this waterfall card. Actually, this is the second card, I made. The first needed some refinement - LOL!. For the front panel, I used Pretty Pink Posh's Utility Vehicles stamp set. I stamped the safety vest and hard hats randomly with Memento Tuxedo Black ink and I added color with Ohuhu markers FY010, FY020 and Y295. I matted with bright chartreuse cardstock.

The next level featured this dude using Gerda Steiner Design's You Rock stamp set. I stamped him with Memento Tuxedo Black ink and added color with Ohuhu markers BG042, G345, RV687, WG140, WG150. I stamped the sentiment using the same stamp set. I matted with red cardstock.

The last level featured this dude using The Alley Way's Sea Mates stamp set. I stamped him with Memento Tuxedo Black ink and added color with Ohuhu markers G289, G345, G483. I stamped the "turtley awesome" using the same stamp set. I used Sunny Studio's Phoebe Alphabet stamp set to stamp the "U" and "R". I matted with bright green cardstock. The word "PULL" uses My Favorite Things' Interactive Labels stamp set.

The fun patterned paper is from my stash - Bo Bunny's On The Go Collection - 6xc6 pad.

We'd love to see your ANY OCCASION card in our gallery.

Try A Sketch On Tuesday ~ Challenge #702

Happy Tuesday! Time for a new challenge at Try A Sketch On Tuesday. Here's the sketch

Here's my card

For my card, I started with three grungy, distressed-looking patterned papers. I cut them, roughly following the sketch. I die cut the flourish using My Favorite Things' Large Fancy Flourish and some green cardstock. I wanted to add some flowers so I used a Paper Smooches' Flowers 2 die and scraps of white cardstock. I adhered the patterned paper to a cream A2 card base. For the sentiment, I used Your Next Stamp's Cool Tag Banner Sentiments stamp set, stamped onto a strip of cream cardstock. I glued the flourish, flowers and sentiment strip in place to complete my card.

We'd love to see your interpretations of our sketch in our gallery.

Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge #695

Happy Monday! Time for a new sketch challenge at Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge. Here's the sketch.

Here's my card

To make the kokeshi doll, I used Frantic Stamper's Large Kokeshi Japanese Paper Doll die set. I die cut the pieces and glued them together. I used Ohuhu marker R192 to add pink cheeks to our kokeshi doll. For the bamboo strip, I used Paper Rose's Bamboo stencil, Concord & 9th's avocado ink, applied with an oval ink blending brush on white cardstock. I trimmed the stenciled piece to 1 7/8" x 5 1/2" and matted with olive green cardstock. I die cut a circle using a Sizzix circle die from white cardstock. I stamped the sentiment using Waffle Flower's Konnichiwa stamp set. To help the white circle stand out a bit, I used a black marker and inked the edge of the white circle. I glued all the elements to a white A2 card base to complete my card.

We'd love to see how you're inspired by our sketch in our gallery.

AAA Cards ~ Challenge #321

Hello Crafty Friends! It's time for a new challenge at AAA Cards. Here's the challenge.

Here's my card

Loved the Theme of this challenge. I guess I used the central circle "On the Farm" and either "Animals" or "Buildings" as my second circle. I used Sunny Studio's Farm Fresh stamp and die set, which has been sitting unused in my collection. This was the perfect time to finally use it. I stamped the elements using Memento Tuxedo Black ink on white cardstock. I added color with Ohuhu markers BG042, E280, E293, E357, E463, G289, G483, MG109, MG170, R457, R586, WG140, WG150, WG170, Y295 and Copic marker Y11. I then used the coordinating die to die cut the images. On a white A2 card base, I stencilled using MFT Clouds stencil and tumbled glass distress ink in the upper central area a bunch of clouds. I die cut a white A2 card panel using a Sizzix circle die. I glued the windmill, barn and tree to the back of the circle window and adhered the A2 panel in place with double-sided tape. I glued the goat and chicken to the front. I stamped the sentiment using Your Next Stamp's Barnyard Love stamp set to complete my card.

We'd love to see what you create in our gallery. Please remember to keep it Clean and Simple.

Die Cut Divas ~ August Challenge with Birch Press Designs

Happy August! I'm here with a card for Die Cut Divas' August Challenge. Our challenge this month is

WHITE WITH A SPLASH OF COLOR

Our sponsor this month is Birch Press Design. They will be giving our winner a $20 gift card. Sorry, only US addresses only.

Here's my card

For my card, I used Birch Press Design's Block Print Starry Night Scene die set. I used the  larger die to cut out an area around the center top area of a white A2 card panel and used a scrap of white cardstock to die cut the large tree. I added some color to the front tree with salvaged patina distress ink applied with a mini oval ink blending brush. On a white A2 card base, I lightly marked where the opening of the die cut piece would be and erased the marks. I expanded that area slightly and lightly ink blended the opening with salvage patina distress ink with a larger oval ink blending brush. I stamped the sentiment using Clearly Besotted's Many Mini Messages and PinkFresh Studio's Ocean Breeze ink. I adhered the panel to the cardbase with double-sided tape and glued the tree ink place to finish my card.

We'd love to see what you create with our WHITE WITH A SPLASH OF COLOR challenge in our gallery.

Try A Sketch On Tuesday ~ Challenge #701

There's a new sketch up at Try A Sketch On Tuesday which we hope will inspire you to get crafty. Here's the sketch.

Here's my take on the sketch

For my card, I die cut the flowers using Paper Smooches' Pocket die set and scraps of colorful cardstock. For the background, I used Spellbinders' EOM - May 24 called Latticework embossing folder and some light gray cardstock. I stamped the sentiment using Your Next Stamp's Cool Tag Banner Sentiment stamp on a scrap of white cardstock. I trimmed it to a sentiment strip. I glued the flowers and sentiment strip to the gray embossed panel. I found some gray ribbon and adhered a strip horizontally to the panel. I made a bow and with a glue dot, adhered it in place. To complete my card, I adhered the panel to a white A2 card base with double-sided tape.

We'd love to see your cards inspired by our sketch in our gallery.

Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge #693

Happy Monday! Time for a new challenge at Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge. Here's our sketch.

I decided to leave the card as a square card. Here's my card

For my card, I used a Spellbinders' Nestabilities Label 1 die and Simon Says STAMP's Lots of Thanks stamp set. I inked the edge of the label with salvaged patina distress ink. I found some patterned papers that coordinated (from the same 6x6 paper pad) and cut the triangles for the background. I die cut the sprigs using gold cardstock and a Creative Expressions Festive Collection die. I glued the pieces in place to create a natural 4 1/4" square card.

We'd love to see what you create from our sketch in our gallery.
