Here's my card for the current challenge at Muse Card Challenge
This week's Muse card is by Anita Bowden
Isn't her card a breath of fresh air - reminds me of Spring, which I'm hoping is just around the corner!
I was inspired by:
- the raised, embossed card panel
- the foliage - in teal with small pops of pink
- script sentiment in pink
I used this JOFY stamp set
I added colour with prismacolor pencils.
I used this embossing folder
Sentiment is from this Simon Says STAMP die

Fusion Card Challenge "Paper Hearts"
Here's my card for the challenge at Fusion Card Challenge
Here's the challenge inspiration
I was inspired by the beautiful hearts and tried to reproduce the colours and watercolour effects using distress inks (mustard seed and twisted citron, spiced marmalade and ripe persimmon, faded jeans and mustard seed). To add the colour, I swiped the distress ink on my craft sheet, spritzed with a bit of water, then used a scrap piece of plastic packaging to pick up and apply the ink to watercolour paper. I continued adding colour until I was happy with the colour distribution.
I die cut the hearts with my Memory Box heart dies. The sentiment is by Simon Says STAMP - Thanks stamp set.

CAS(E) this Sketch! #158
Here's my card
It's for the current challenge at CAS(E) this Sketch
I used the Paper Smooches Botanicals 2 image, inked with distress inks (faded jeans and seedless preserves) and spritzed a bit with water before applying it to watercolour paper. I cut the panel into an oval. I found some scraps of printed paper for the banners. The sentiment is from Simon Says STAMPS Lots of Thanks. I rotated the sketch 90 degrees.

Muse Card Challenge #151
There is a fun challenge at Muse Card Challenge
Here is the Muse card by Michele Ferguson
So, the challenge, as I understand it is a bit different from usual. I believe that Michele challenged us to incorporate a song title into our cards. Well, at least, that's what I tried to do.
Here's my card
I used the image from The Alley Way - Sea Mates. I stamped it, coloured the image in with Copics and fussy cut it.
On a piece of watercolour paper, I added some distress inks (peacock feathers and faded jeans).
Can you guess my song? Well, I didn't have any sentiment stamps that would have worked. So, I suppose, it won't have a sentiment and can be used for any random occasion.

P.S. Michele - I couldn't figure out your song - perhaps, something about joyful heart?

House of Cards February 2016 Technique Challenge
Welcome to February. It's time for a new challenge at House of Cards
This month it's a technique challenge
This was a definite challenge for me. The only cards that I have ever created have been either square or rectangle.
Since it's February, I thought that I'd try a heart-shaped card.
I cut out two hearts from 100 lb cardstock using this Memory Box die
The sentiment is from Paper Smooches Word Salad. I added a variety of flowers from the STAMPlorations Frames and Flowers stamp set.
To adhere the two heart pieces together, I used a score board to score a horizontal line, approximately 0.5 inches from the top of the heart. I applied the adhesive to this small area and adhered the "top" piece to it for a top opening card.
I tried a circle card (I was on a roll - ha ha!)
The sentiment is from Simon Says STAMP - big scripty greetings. The stencil is also Simon Says STAMP - swirls and dots. The inks are distress inks (spiced marmalade, picked raspberry, twisted citron and peacock feathers). Same procedure to attach the two circles - scored horizontal line, add adhesive and adhere two circles together.
Come join us at House of Cards - what shape will you use?
