Welcome to day 2 of STAMPlorations Belated 7th Birthday Celebration.

Here's my card

This is my first slimline card. For those who are unfamiliar with slimline cards, they are cards that fit into a standard #10 (office) envelope. The cards measure 3.5" x 8.5". I started with a 3.5" x 8.5" white piece of cardstock. I used STAMPlorations ARTplorations Bamboo slimline stencil with twisted citron distress ink, applied with an ink blending tool. I felt that the image was "flat" so I tried to add some dimension and interest with Prismacolor Premier colored pencils - olive green and limepeel. Here's a close-up.

I was hesitant to cover up the bamboo. So, I chose to heat emboss the sentiment, using STAMPlorations It's a Girl Thing: Sunshine stamp set and silver embossing powder on vellum. I trimmed the panel slightly to mat with an olive green cardstock to complete the card.

We're going to have projects for the next three days to continue our belated 7th birthday celebration! Click here to check out day 2 of the belated 7th birthday celebration.
