Addicted to CAS ~ Challenge #231

Wow - it's already the middle of October? Is time flying by or is it just me with my never-ending "to do" list? Of course, my "to do" list includes crafting. It keeps me happy - I just love playing with paper. I hope that our next challenge at Addicted to CAS will inspire you to craft.

I had to really think about this code word. Seeing that the card needs to be clean and simple (CAS), suggests that there need to be minimal layers. So, how does one created a layered card with minimal layers. Well, I needed to think a bit outside the box and layer inks. Here's my card

I started with Hero Arts Color Layering For You Flowers stamp set and a white A2 card base. I stamped the leaves directly onto the card base. The two layers of leaves were stamped with Hero Arts Green Hills and Tide Pool inks. I stamped the three layers of the flower onto a scrap of white cardstock with PinkFresh Studio's Sparkling Rose, Bubble Gum, Raspberry Bliss inks. I then fussy cut the flower and glued it to the card base, covering a bit of both branches of leaves. For the sentiment, I used Simon Says STAMP's Lots of Thanks stamp set and Concord & 9th's Dove ink. I think that this card is still clean and simple and I layered two ways, with layers of different inks and by fussy cutting the flower and adhering it onto the card base.

We'd love to see how you use "layering" on your clean and simple card.
