Are you starting to get ready for Christmas 2022? Maybe, you're working on Christmas cards. If you are, we'd love for you to join us at Happy Little Stampers ~ Christmas Challenge. Our challenge this month is
Here's my card
I wasn't sure what to do for the optional challenge of "frame". I looked through my dies and found this Paper Rose Window 2 metal die, which creates a great frame looking outside. I created a little scene starting with tumbled glass distress ink applied to some white cardstock with an oval ink blending brush. I then stamped some snowflakes using Hero Arts Winter Silhouettes and Versamark ink, for a bit of a tone-on-tone look. Here's a close-up.
I added the trees and deer using the same Hero Arts stamp set and Hero Arts Field Green and Cup O' Joe inks. For the window frame, I die cut some kraft cardstock with the Paper Rose Window 2 metal die and then swiped Hero Arts Cup O' Joe ink, in one direction to try to re-create a wood look. On a natural A2 card panel, I heat embossed the sentiment using Clearly Besotted's Many Mini Messages and gold embossing powder. I adhered the scene behind the frame and glued it all to the natural panel. I adhered the panel to a white card base to complete the card.
We'd love to see you Christmas creations in our gallery this month.
