Woah! How could it already be November? I'm not ready for the year to be over. I have a bunch of stuff to do before the end of the year. Guess, I had better get organized.

It's time for a new challenge at STAMPlorations CAS. This month, the challenge is

Here's my card. I thought I'd try to use the optional color twist of "neutrals only".

I started with STAMPlorations ARTplorations All Swirls stencil and some neutral color distress inks (frayed burlap, pumice stone, hickory smoke) applied with an ink blending tool on some white cardstock. I die cut my image using STAMPlorations CUTplorations Perched Bird die. For the background, I started with some mid-tone gray cardstock where I masked off an area about 3" wide. I used STAMPlorations ARTplorations Trees stencil and Bundled Sage distress ink, applied with an ink blending tool. For the sentiment, I used STAMPlorations Trendy Birds 2 stamp set with Hero Arts Soft Granite ink. I used a die to die cut the mid-tone gray panel and adhered it to a dark gray A2 card panel which was adhered to a white A2 card base.

We'd love for you to join our challenge at STAMPlorations CAS this month.

  1. The minimal palette is so lovely, fab stencilling on the bird!

  2. Love that faint stenciling in the background. Perfect amount for a CAS card.
