Have you seen the new paper goods at STAMPlorations? There are colorables, ephemera and quick card fronts. They definitely help to create cards, when time is limited. I'm using the Bloom Burst Ephemera for my cards today.
I made three cards with this package of ephemera.
For this first card, I started by making the background using my Gelli plate, STAMPlorations ARTplorations Crisscrossed stencil and distress oxides - frayed burlap, antique linen and vintage photo. I then used an oval stitched die to die cut an oval using natural card stock. I stamped the sentiment using STAMPlorations Fond Expressions 2 stamp set and Versafine Onyx Black ink. I added some beautiful flowers from the STAMPlorations Bloom Burst ephemera to complete the card.
For card #2, I also used my gelli plate and salty ocean, broken china and wilted violet distress oxide to make an inked panel. I trimmed the panel to 3" x 4.25" and adhered it to a light blue A2 card panel. I used a clear sticker from STAMPlorations CRAFTplorations Inspirational #1 Clear Sticker pack which I adhered to the inked panel. I added a grouping of flowers and foliage from STAMPlorations CRAFTplorations Bloom Burst ephemera on the left side of the inked panel. I popped the large pink flower up with dimensionals to add a different level to the card.
For card #3, I challenged myself to make a card in under 5 minutes. I started with one ATC panel from STAMPlorations CRAFTplorations Watercolor ATC Journaling Cards. I adhered a clear sticker from STAMPlorations CRAFTplorations Happy Happy Clear Stickers pack and adhered it to a light pink A2 card panel. I added a few floral die cuts from STAMPlorations CRAFTplorations Bloom Burst ephemera and adhered the panel to a white A2 card base to complete the card. And the verdict is .... 4 minutes 51 seconds! So, if you ever find yourself in need of a card and you don't have much time, you'll need a card front or ATC journaling card, a clear sticker and some ephemera. Of course, you'll need adhesive and a card base!
