Addicted to Stamps and More! Challenge #414

Hello Crafty Friends! I think that summer may be over. Kids have gone back to school, temperatures are more tolerable and nights are cool (great for sleeping)! While I like sunshine, I really can't handle hot temperatures. Well, unless, I'm at the beach!

It's time for a new challenge at Addicted to Stamps and More! Our challenge for the next two weeks is

Here's my card

I chose to make a sympathy card. It's so sad that I seem to always need these cards. I guess that I'm at that age where my friends are losing their parents. For my card, I used Inkadinkado Meadow stamp set. I stamped it on white cardstock and added distress inks (dusty concord, faded jeans, stormy sky) with ink blending tools to create the sky behind the flowers and grasses silhouettes. I trimmed the panel to 2.5" x 3.5". On a dark blue A2 panel, I heat embossed the sentiment, using Papertrey Ink's Keep It Simple - Sympathy Mini Stamp set and silver embossing powder. To complete the card, I adhered the inked panel above the sentiment and I adhered the panel to a white A2 cardbase.

We'd love to see you "any occasion" card.

  2. Beautiful card. I agree, it's unfortunate we have to make them, but someone will appreciate this so much.
