Time for a new challenge at Try A Sketch On Tuesday. Here's our sketch.
Here's my card
Looking through my crafty stash, I realize that there is an absence of all things Halloween. I'm working to change that (for next year). I decided to go a completely different tangent. I love this little penguin. It uses Your Next Stamp's Snorkel Fun Penguin stamp. I stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black ink and added color with Copic markers - BG05, RV14, Y38 and YR04. I then fussy cut the image. For the background, I placed My Favorite Things' Oval Extraordinaire stencil on an A2 white notecard and added STAMPlorations' Placid stencil on top. I used distress inks (cracked pistachio, peacock feathers, mermaid lagoon) applied with oval ink blending brushes. I removed the Placid stencil and lightly added color in the "white spaces" with the same distress inks. For the sentiment, I used the same stamp set as the penguin. I added some glossy accents to the penguin's goggles and waited for them to dry before gluing the penguin in place to complete my card.
We'd love to see how you're inspired by our sketch in our gallery.
