Addicted to CAS ~ Challenge #270

We have a new challenge starting at Addicted to CAS. 

This is a timely Code Word, eh? I went through my collection of stamps and dies and noticed that I need to purchase some Halloween items for my stash. So, I needed to be creative. Here's my card

I feel like while not specifically Halloween with bats and goblins or children in costumes, I think that I captured the spirit of Halloween. For the silhouette or if you prefer, my black cat, I used Sizzix's Mischievous thinlits and black cardstock. For the background, I used some 96 lb bristol. I ink blended distress inks (seedless preserves, dusty concord, chipped sapphire) and spritzed some water to make the background more interesting. I cut the bristol to 2" x 4 1/4
 and matted with orange. The sentiment uses Your Next Stamp's Way Cool Monsters stamp set and is stamped on a light gray A2 card panel. To complete my card, I adhered the panel to a white A2 card base with double-sided tape.
