Here's my card
This was the Christmas card that I mailed out to my friends. Hopefully they've all been received so I'm not spoiling any surprise! I started with an A2 panel of 140 lb Strathmore watercolor paper. I stamped the ornament image with Versafine Onyx Black ink using Polkadoodles Baubles and Banners stamp set. I added the sentiment using Polkadoodles Heartfelt Joy stamp set and Versafine Onyx Black ink. I made thirty of these cards, so I used my MISTI and stamped assembly-line style. I used my Michaels' Artist's Loft Watercolor Pan set with a fine paint brush and some water to add colors to the heart, circles and stars around the ornament. For a little bit of shimmer, I used Yasutomo Pearlescent Watercolor Pan Set to add the silver pearlescent paint to the ornament top and bottom. I also used a silver gel pen to fill in the blank spaces of the CHRISTMAS letters. The ornament looked too plain, so I traced the shape of the ornament onto some scrap printer paper and cut it out. I used this as a mask and added salty ocean distress ink, applied with an oval brush to fill in the ornament. To complete the panel, I used a ruler and thin black marker to add the string from which the ornament hangs. Finally, I adhered the panel to a white A2 card base and the card was ready to send.
We'd love to see your Christmas card creations.
