Here's my card
I have always been kind of fascinated with maritime flags - I didn't realize that there is a maritime alphabet made entirely of flags. I think that it's very cool that messages could be spelled out using maritime flags. However, for my card, I didn't spell out any message. Actually, I used typical maritime flag colors and adapted "real" maritime flags for my card. To start, I die cut with light gray cardstock and Simon Says STAMP's Party Banner die. I also die cut the flags with white, blue, yellow and red cardstock. With thin strips, a small circle punch and scissors, I was able to create the flags. I adhered the string and flags onto a light blue A2 card panel. I didn't have any "nautical" sentiments, so I stamped a simple "hello" using Ink Blot Shop's Simple Sentiments stamp set.
