Rainbow Card Challenge ~ February Challenge

Happy February! We've made it through the first month of 2021 and are still here. That's a good thing, right? We have a new challenge at Rainbow Card Challenge. This month, our challenge is

Here's my card

I started this card by heat embossing with white embossing powder the stem of a flower (or is it a weed) using a stamp from Inkadinkado Meadow stamp set. I added shaded lilac distress ink around the embossed image with an ink blending tool. For the sentiment, I used Mint Owl Studio Banner Sentiments with Hero Arts Passion Flower ink. I trimmed the panel to 3" x 4". I trimmed a mauve cardstock to 3.25" x 4.25" and was going to use it to mat the focal panel. However, I was feeling a bit more whimsical, and decided to tilt the mauve panel. I found some patterned mauve paper and added a 2.5" x 4.25" horizontal strip behind the mauve and focal panels. To complete the card, I added a bow made with mauve organza ribbon.

We'd love to see your mauve projects.

  1. Very pretty card! I don't know if it's a flower or a weed LOL but it's very pretty with the ink around it. :) Hugs! Katy DT :)
