Try A Sketch On Tuesday ~ Challenge #647

Ready for a new challenge? For our next challenge at Try A Sketch On Tuesday, we're are partnering with our sister challenge Double Trouble for their 6th Anniversary.

Our sketch for our challenge is

Here's a summary of the challenge at Double Trouble

Thing 1 Trouble Maker:  Choose a Raffle Ticket for your project. The Tickets will offer a choice of four project themes - Anniversary, Father's Day, Birthday/Newborn, and Graduation.

Thing 3 Twisted Sister: My optional twist is to use Kraft or Kraft-type paper and/or a brown paper bag somewhere in your project.

Thing 2 Double Trouble: This is an option to link your project with any of DTC's previous partners using a project inspired by the TSOT Sketch.

Here's my card - I chose the Birthday them for Thing 1; for Thing 3, I used kraft paper and I didn't link my card anywhere else, so I didn't follow the challenge for Thing 2.

For the coffee cup, I used Avery Elle's Cool Beans stamp set. I stamped the take-out cup on some white cardstock with Memento Tuxedo Black ink. I stamped the sleeve and sentiment on a kraft envelope that I'm re-using. I fussy cut the images out and I added a bit of coloring to the take-out lid with Copic W3. For the lower panel, I started with a tone-on-tone patterned paper and one stencil from Stampers Anonymous' Time Holtz Mini Stencil Set #3 - the coffee stain one. I used the stencil with distress inks - gathered twigs, ground espresso and cut four 3 1/4" x 1" strips. For the horizontal band, I used the same kraft envelope and cut a strip 4 1/4" x 3/4". I found some other tone-on-tone patterned paper for the top panel. I assembled all the elements onto a white A2 card base to complete my card.

We'd love to see your creations in our gallery.
