Try Stampin' On Tuesday ~ Challenge# 494

We're back with a new challenge for you at Try Stampin' On Tuesday

I haven't use the "bleaching technique" on my card for years. Actually, I don't use bleach. However, the last time I tried the "bleaching technique", my neighbour gave me a small container with some bleach. I wasn't sure if bleach loses it's "bleach-iness", is that a word, with time. I gave it a go. Here's my card

The results of my "experiment", are that bleach does not lose it's "bleach-iness" over time. I inked up an A2 sized panel of 96 lb bristol with distress inks (peacock feathers and faded jeans) with an ink blending tool. I used a leaf stamp from Lawn Fawn's Flutter stamp set with Versamark ink and clear embossing powder which was heat set. I found that it was easiest for me to stamp a few leaves and heat emboss them. Otherwise, I thought that I'd end up overlapping the leaves, which is an effect I wasn't after. I used a paint brush and applied the bleach to the areas within the embossed area. I loved the effect. To complete the card, I used a STAMPlorations clear sticker from the Happy Happy pack.

The "bleaching technique" is an easy one (assuming you have bleach) and the results can be quite stunning. Why don't you give it a try?
