It was one of those cards that made me really think - that's a good thing!
I was inspired by:
- the colours
- big yellow (gold) die cut
- black and white accessory
Here's my card
Well, I don't own any pineapples - don't really understand the appeal, except when eating (yum). So, I looked through my dies for something that I could make gold/yellow. I picked Memory Box's Twirling Snowflake. I die cut from two gold cardstocks - one a bit shinier and one with shimmer. I inlaid one and used the other as the outline. I adhered it onto a light green cardstock and backed it with a darker shade of green cardstock. I used Your Next Stamp's Stripe-tastic Diagonal Edge stamp with black ink to create the border stripe. The sentiment is from Hero Arts Color Layering Bouquet.

Love this type of card - you look at the inspiration and get something completely different, but still obviously inspired. Love that graphic element and the two layers of green. Clever and beautiful! Thanks for joining us at Muse this week!
ReplyDeleteSo beautiful...love your gorgeous gold snowflake, so amazing on that green background. Thank you so much for playing along with us at Muse this week.
ReplyDeleteI love that you chose this snowflake for your focal point (I don't own any pineapple stamps/dies either) and using gold foil was such a great way to make it more elegant! Beautiful take on Kim's card!
