Addicted to Stamps and More! Challenge #419

Hello Crafty Friends! It's time for a new challenge at Addicted to Stamps and More! This challenge will be an "Any Occasion" challenge.

Here's my card

It's a wedding card. For the "bride" heart, I started by embossing some white cardstock with Provocraft Cuttlebug D'Vine Swirls embossing folder. I then die cut a heart from the embossed panel with a Memory Box Cherub Hearts die. For the "groom" heart, I die cut a heart using the same Cherub Heart die from both black and white cardstock. I cut the white heart to be the shirt against the black suit. I cut a small bow tie from some black cardstock. I added some adhesive pearls to both the "bride" heart and the "groom" heart. Here's a close-up.

For the sentiment, I used Your Next Stamp's Whatnot Sentiments Four stamp set and silver embossing powder to heat emboss the sentiment on a light gray A2 card panel. I adhered both hearts on the card panel and then adhered the panel onto a white A2 card base to complete the card.

Try Stampin' On Tuesday ~ Challenge #534

Optional: snow

Here's my card

For my card, I decided to ink blend and have "fuzzy" lines between the colors as opposed to the sketch where there is a definite line between horizontal strips. Also, obviously, I didn't incorporate the optional theme of snow on my card! I used STAMPlorations ARTplorations Tribal Weave stencil and cracked pistachio, peacock feathers and salty ocean distress inks, applied with an ink blending tool on a white A2 card panel. For the tag, I started with a blue strip, just under 2" wide. I used my neglected Stampin' Up Ornate Tag Topper Punch to create the tag. For the sentiment, I stamped on a scrap of teal cardstock using Poppy Stamps Peony Stems and Blossoms stamp with Versafine Onyx Black ink. I punched it out with Stampin' Up's Oval punch. I adhered the oval to the tag and popped the tag up with dimensionals. I adhered the panel to a white A2 card base to complete my card.

Addicted to CAS ~ Challenge #211

Here's my colourful card

I love the way this card looks. I've done several similar cards. I love the idea of rainbow clouds, don't you? For this card, I used STAMPlorations ARTplorations Flexi-Template Squares to mask the central square and STAMPlorations ARTplorations Clouds stencil. I also used distress inks - squeezed lemonade, twisted citron, salty ocean, wilted violet, picked raspberry, carved pumpkin to add the color to my rainbow sky with an ink blending tool. I removed the stencils and stamped the birds using Lavinia Stamps' Birds stamp with Versafine Onyx Black ink. For the sentiment, I stamped it with Clear Besotted's Many Mini Messages stamp set with Versafine Onyx Black ink.

2021 Fall/Winter Coffee Lovers Blog Hop

Why do I do this to myself? I know that the Fall/Winter Coffee Lovers Blog Hop is coming and yet, I'm scrambling at nearly the last minute to create something so that I can join in. 

Well, scramble, I did. Here's what I came up with

This was supposed to be a one layer card. I stamped the little cup using STAMPlorations Coffee Petites stamp set and Memento Tuxedo Black ink on a white A2 card panel. I added color with Copic markers - BG10, BG23, R05. I made a mask with a large post-it note and a My Favorite Things Stitched Squares STAX die. I positioned the mask around the cup and added stormy sky distress ink applied with an oval brush. Well, you know what happened, right? My mask wasn't large enough (or I wasn't careful enough) and I ended up with distress ink, where I hadn't intended it. So, plan B. I cut out the square. I decided to mat it with black to make it pop. The sentiment is from Catherine Pooler's For Everything stamp set, stamped with Hero Arts Tide Pool ink. I adhered the square, above the sentiment to complete the not-so-one layer card! Oh well, it works, I guess.

Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge #447

WOW - can you believe it? It's already mid-November. Time is flying by. Seeing that it's Monday, it must be time for a new sketch challenge at Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge.

Here's my card

I started this card by heat embossing the sentiment circle on a scrap of natural cardstock using Simon Says STAMP's Many Thanks stamp set and gold embossing powder. I then die cut it with a Sizzix circle die. For the leaves on the sketch, I substituted with Simon Says STAMP's Eucalyptus Leaves die and gold cardstock. I picked out some tone on tone papers from my large paper stash and cut them to 1.5" x 4.25" for the blue strip and 1.25" x 4.75" for the yellow strip. I adhered everything to a kraft A2 card panel which was then adhered to a white A2 card base.

Perfectly CAS ~ November Challenge

It's mid-November here in the Pacific Northwest. It's cold and wet and I'm dreaming of someplace warm and tropical. Tropical happens to be our next challenge at Perfectly CAS.

Here's my card

For my card, I used Ink Blot Shop's Botanical Borders stamp set. I stamped this border along the bottom of a white A2 card panel with Memento Tuxedo Black ink. I added color with Copic markers - G14, G94, YG03, YG63, Y38, YR16. This plant material reminded me of Hawaii. For the sentiment, I used a scrap of green cardstock and My Favorite Things Itty Bitty Basics stamp set. I then used My Favorite Things Skinny Strips dies to die cut the sentiment strip. I adhered the sentiment strip to the A2 card panel and then I adhered it to a white A2 card base to complete my card.

Here's my card

I was inspired by this card by fellow STAMPlorations design team member, Tanja

I went through part of my stash of patterned papers, looking for colours that went with the coffee cup die cut that I chose from STAMPlorations For the Love of Coffee Ephermera pack. i cut strips and adhered them to a kraft A2 card panel. I stamped the sentiment using STAMPlorations Coffeecionado stamp set and Hero Arts Cup O' Joe ink. I added the coffee cup die cut with dimensionals. To complete the card, I adhered the kraft panel to a white A2 card base.
