The current challenge at Less is More is a colour challenge where:

Our challenge this week is

White space but not  WHITE

Here's my card

I started with kraft cardstock and inked up images from MFT Grand Peaceful Wildflowers with white pigment ink. Once dried, I added colour with prismacolor coloured pencils. The sentiment is from a Simon Says STAMP Lots of Thanks stamp set.

TIME OUT Challenge # 53

This week, there is an "inspired by words" challenge at Time Out Challenges

'A woman is like a tea bag - you can't tell how strong she is until you put her in hot water' by Eleanor Roosevelt

You can be inspired by just one word or more or go for the whole quote.

Here's my card

I was inspired by the thought of "strong women". I used a stamp from the Unity Stamp set - ... i am woman. To add colour, I used distress inks (spiced marmalade, ripe persimmon, picked raspberry and festive berries). I smooshed some ink on a teflon sheet, spritzed some water and lifted the ink with a ziploc bag and applied it to the card front. I find that I have a bit more control of where the colour goes (or doesn't go). I added three sequins for a bit of sparkle.

Here's my interpretation of the sketch.

Papertrey Ink - Make it Monday #244 - Score Lines

Here's my card for this week's Make it Monday challenge at Papertrey Ink's blog

The challenge is to use score lines.

I used PTI's Spiral Bouquet and Heart-2-Heart #3 stamp sets. The flowers and sentiment are separated by three parallel score lines, adding a bit of texture. It's pretty difficult to photograph the score lines - here's a close-up.

House of Cards April 2016 Challenge

Sorry friends, haven't been around much.

However, I'm back!!!! Boy, have I missed crafting.

It's the start of another month, so it's time for another challenge at House of Cards

Here's is this month's challenge

Use Script and/or Colors

Here's my card

I tried to incorporate both "Script and Colors".  I started by tearing a couple pieces of 3M Post-it Tape length-wise as I wanted to mask off an area with irregular edges. Using Stampin Up's French Script stamp and Simon Says STAMP fog ink, I stamped in the masked off area. Using the same ink and a sponge, I "darkened" the edges of the masked off area. I was going for a subtle look for the script - well, I got subtle and it doesn't photograph very well (or is it the photographer?). Here's a close-up

I used this SU stamp (not sure which stamp set)

I coloured this stamp with markers - Stampin Up - Primrose Petals and Cherry Cobbler and Distress Marker - Mowed Lawn.

The sentiment is from this Simon Says STAMP stamp set

Hope you can join us this month at House of Cards
