New month; new challenge at Happy Little Stampers ~ Watercolour Challenge.
Here's my card
I started this card with an A2 panel of 96 lb bristol. I added some splotches of colour using distress inks (cracked pistachio, fossilized amber, salty ocean), some water and a paint brush. I added the colour until I knew that my stamped image would be in the coloured area. I waited until the panel was dry and then stamped the image using STAMPlorations' Blossom Sprays #1 and Versafine Onyx Black ink. I found that the panel ended up a bit wavy, so I placed it under a ream of paper to flatten it out. For the sentiment, I used Mint Owl Studio's Banner Sentiments I and Versafine Onyx Black ink. I adhered the panel to a white A2 card base to complete the card.
We'd love to see your watercolour creations.

Very pretty! I rarely think to keep my image just as an outline and add colour via the background - thanks for the inspiration!ReplyDelete
So pretty Sue! Your soft background and choice of image gives your card a wonderfully delicate look. So special!! Stay safe! :)ReplyDelete
