Try A Sketch On Tuesday ~ Challenge #658

Happy Tuesday Crafty Friends! It's time for a new challenge at Try A Sketch On Tuesday. Here's our sketch

Here's my card

For my card, I used Elizabeth Craft Design's Twiggy Things die set. I love this set. I die cut the four different sizes of "flowers" from light green cardstock three times to make three flowers. I inked the edges with Picked Raspberry distress ink, applied with an oval ink blending brush. I carefully curled the edges of each flower layer and glued them together. For the leaves, I used the same die set and cut them from green cardstock. To add a bit of interest, I lightly ink blended them with Forest Moss distress ink, applied with an oval ink blending brush. I found some neutral tone-on-tone patterned papers which I cut to match the sketch. I also die cut a circle using natural cardstock and a Sizzix circle die. I stamped the sentiment using Simon Says STAMP's Lots of Thanks stamp set and Hero Arts Cup O' Joe ink. I glued the pieces in place and adhered the finished panel to a natural A2 card base to complete my card.

We'd love to see what you create using our sketch as inspiration, in our gallery.

  1. Love those two complementary patterned papers you used for the background and the pink flowers and greenery look so good against the papers. Beautiful card and nice interpretation of the sketch challenge. You have met our Sister Challenges at Double Trouble "Lotsa Delicious Layers" and would love you to enter your card and be eligible for our random drawing. Hope to see you there.
