Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge #605Here

It's Monday so that must mean that it's time for a new challenge at Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge. Here's our sketch

Here's my take on the sketch. I rotated the sketch 90 degrees to the left.

For my card, I used elements that I thought I was going to use for my Christmas cards 2023. However, by the time, I finished the petals, I realized that I wasn't going to be able to mail them in a regular envelope. I wasn't prepared to send them in a bubble envelope and spend extra for postage. I made the pedals using Spellbinders' Stitched Poinsettia & Holly and red and burgundy felt, die cut with my Big Shot. I used gold thread to add the stitches along with small gold beads. For the foliage, I could find my "holly leaves" so I die cut using Elizabeth Craft Design's Winter Greens and some silver and green cardstock. For the sentiment, I used The Ton's Holiday Flourish and gold embossing powder on some kraft cardstock. I cut the kraft into a 3/4" strip. I glued all the pieces in place on an A2 light kraft cardstock. To complete the card, I adhered the panel to a white A2 card base with double-sided tape.

We'd love to see your take on our sketch in our gallery.

  1. Sue your stitched poinsettias are beautiful, love the gold threading and beads. Don't forget to enter your card into Double Trouble partnering with AHSC to earn 3 chances to our random draw... hope to see you there.
