As the weather is getting cooler, it's starting to feel like Christmas is indeed coming. What better way to get into the Christmas spirit than to make Christmas cards. I found a new challenge (who doesn't need a new challenge) to expand my Christmas card collection, it's at 52 {Christmas} Card Throwdown
This week's challenge is a sketch challenge. Here's the versatile sketch.
Here's my card
I started with by cutting out a 2 3/8" circle from a scrap piece of paper to use as a mask. To add some definition to the circle, I used distress ink (pumice stone) applied with an ink blending tool. The sentiment is from Simon Says STAMP Holly Jolly stamp set. The holly is from Catherine Pooler's Holiday Magic Stamp of Approval box, Holiday Flourishes from The Ton.

Stamping inside the masked circle is a clever take on our sketch! You did a super job with the technique! And the CAS-ness of your card is right up my alley. :) Thanks for sharing your card with us at 52CCT!
ReplyDeleteBrilliant! What a clever and beautiful way to create a bauble. Can I steal (i mean case) your idea?
