Addicted to Stamps and More! Challenge #393

It's time for a new challenge at Addicted to Stamps and More!

I thought that I'd do something other than a Christmas card. Here's my card

I stamped this cute lamb using Unity Stamps' My Little Lamb stamp set with Memento Tuxedo Black ink. I added color with Copic markers BG13, BG15, R11, R32, W2. The sentiment is from the same stamp set. I trimmed the A2 panel down and matted with black to frame the panel.

We'd love for you to join us

AAA Cards: CAS Game #166

The card-makers over at AAA Cards are celebrating their 6th birthday. Their challenge this week is ....

It's no surprise that their theme is "Happy Birthday". Here's my card

I have to say that when I hear "Happy Birthday card", I often reach for Ellen Hutson's Wish Big stamp set. I stamped the hippo, bird and balloon using Memento Tuxedo Black ink and my MISTI. I added colour with Copic markers (C2, C5, BG05, Y15, Y38). With a thin black marker, I added the balloon's string. The sentiment is from the same stamp set.

Happy 6th birthday to AAA Cards.

Addicted to CAS ~ Challenge #186

It's time for a new challenge at Addicted to CAS

Full disclosure - I don't have any "berry" stamps nor dies. I thought about purchasing something but these days, our mail service, especially from the US is slow. So ... I took a bit of creative license and created this card

Yup, I'm using the synonym, "beary" as my code word. I stamped the Technique Tuesday's bear from the Beary Sweet stamp set with Memento Tuxedo Black ink. I added color with Copics markers BG15, E37, Y15, Y38 and Prismacolor Premier colored pencils - Sienna Brown and Dark Brown. I used a Sizzix circle die to cut the circle and Spellbinders scalloped circle for the mat. I used Stampin' Up's Chocolate Chip ink to stamp the sentiment.

We'd love for you to join our "berry" challenge.

Cupcake Inspirations Challenge CIC494

I was intrigued by the current challenge at Cupcake Inspirations Challenge

Here's my card

This challenge was more difficult than I had originally thought. I started with cream cardstock - check. I knew that I could stamp with black ink - check. Now, what to do that is pink, was the question! I made a similar card for the challenge at CAS(E) this Sketch here. I just added more flowers and shaded the area. I stamped the large sentiment from Mama Elephant's Merci stamp set. I used my MISTI, so I could re-stamp until I got good ink coverage. I added many pink flowers, from the same stamp set, stamping with Hero Arts Bubble Gum ink. I then masked off the bottom area and added Spun Sugar distress ink, with an ink blending tool to add a bit more pink.

CAS(E) this Sketch #374

I was inspired by the current challenge at CAS(E) this Sketch

Here's my card

I chose to use the large sentiment stamp from Mama Elephant's Merci stamp set. Using my MISTI, I'm able to re-stamp to get a good impression. I added some pink flowers, stamped with Hero Arts Bubble Gum ink from the same stamp set. A one layer, clean and simple card for you today.

Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge #371

It's a sunny Monday here on the West Coast. It's time for a new challenge at Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge

Image may contain: text that says 'Sketch 371 Sentiment Createdby Michelle Stewart for Atlantic Hearts Sketch SketchChallenge'

Here's my card

For this card, I started with My Minds Eye Playdate 6x6 designer paper pack. I pulled out two patterned papers. I cut 0.75" x 5.5" strips. I also cut a thin strip of scrap blue cardstock. I adhered these strips to a white A2 card base. On another scrap of gray cardstock, I stamped the sentiment from Clearly Besotted's Scribbled Flowers stamp set. I cut a fish tail on one end. From more scraps of cardstock, I die cut the flower and leaves using My Favorite Things Die-namics Flower & Leaf Trio. I added an adhesive rhinestone to the center of the flower.

STAMPlorations CAS ~ June Challenge

Hi Friends! It's time for a new challenge at STAMPlorations CAS

Here's my card

I "borrowed" this idea from my friend who made a similar card. I started by inking up an A2 white panel with STAMPlorations' ARTplorations Rose Garden stencil and wilted violet and pumice stone distress inks. I used scraps of paper to help contain the colors to where I wanted them. After I finished, I fussy cut one rose with leaves. I used a scrap of purple cardstock and stamped the sentiment from STAMPlorations' Fond Expressions 2 stamp set. I cut the scrap to 1.25" x 4.25". I adhered the sentiment strip to a white A2 card base. I popped the rose with dimensionals. I added a few sequins to complete the card.

Hoping that you'll be inspired by this month's challenge.
