Unity Stamps ~ Growing In Unity Girl ~ Day 2

I feel so privileged to be a Unity Stamps ~ Growing In Unity Girl. Unity Stamps is a mostly rubber stamp company (they sell paper, stencils, dies, etc., too), based in Minnesota. I will have five cards to share this week, both here on my personal blog but also on Facebook - Growing In Unity - Cardmaking/Rubber-stamping and UNITY {show & tell}. Unity Stamps very generously will be offering two people chosen at random from comments both here on my blog and on the two Unity pages on Facebook a $20 gift card to their online store.

If you're commenting here "anonymously" be sure to add your name so that you're entered in the random draw for the Unity prizes.

Here's card #2

For this card, I started with an A2 panel of 100 lb bristol. I smooshed distress inks (picked raspberry, mustard seed, carved pumpkin, twisted citron) onto a plastic place mat, spritzed a bit of water and picked up the ink with the bristol panel. I repeated the process until I achieved an almost covered panel. When the panel was dry, I stamped the butterflies using Unity Stamps' Kit of the Month for March 2023, called A Good Man & Some Butterflies. I used a rectangle die to die cut the central panel and one size larger to die cut the frame. I adhered both pieces to a black A2 card panel, revealing a think black frame. For the sentiment, I stamped it using Unity Stamps' For the Guys stamp set on a scrap of pink cardstock and I trimmed it to a simple sentiment strip. I glued the sentiment in place. To complete my card, I adhered the black panel to a white A2 card base with double-sided tape.

Thanks for visiting. Hope to see you tomorrow.
