It's time for a new sketch challenge at Try A Sketch On Tuesday. Here's the sketch.
Here's my card
This sketch had me stumped for a bit. I looked through my stamps for inspiration. I found Honey Bee Stamps' You're A Keeper stamp and die set that I received as part of Scrapbook & Cards Today's Crop & Create Delivered March 2022 event. I stamped the bee hive box with Memento Tuxedo Black ink and add color with Ohuhu markers BG042, BG082, E280. I die cut the bee hive box with the coordinating die. For the background, I used Pink & Main's mini stencil that I received as part of the same Crop & Create Delivered event box. I used fossilized amber and mustard seed distress inks applied with an oval ink blending brush to add color. I trimmed the hexagon background to 2 3/4" square and matted with black cardstock. For the smaller square, I ink blended the cloudy background using My Favorite Things' Cloud stencil and tumbled glass distress ink applied with an oval ink blending brush on white cardstock. I trimmed the panel to 1 3/4" square. I stamped three bees from the stamp set and added color with Copic marker B00 and Ohuhu marker Y494. I matted this smaller square also with black cardstock. I stamped the sentiment on a goldenrod color cardstock using the stamp set and used the coordinating die to die cut it out. I adhered the elements onto a medium dark gray A2 card panel. I used some gold thread and tied it towards the bottom of the panel. To complete my card, I adhered the panel to a white A2 card base with double-sided tape.
We'd love to see how you're inspired by our sketch in our gallery.
