I feel so privileged to be a Unity Stamps ~ Growing In Unity Girl. Unity Stamps is a mostly rubber stamp company (they sell paper, stencils, dies, etc., too), based in Minnesota. I will have five cards to share this week, both here on my personal blog but also on Facebook - Growing In Unity - Cardmaking/Rubber-stamping and UNITY {show & tell}. Unity Stamps very generously will be offering two people chosen at random from comments both here on my blog and on the two Unity pages on Facebook a $20 gift card to their online store.
If you're commenting here "anonymously" be sure to add your name so that you're entered in the random draw for the Unity prizes.
Here's card #1
Please excuse the photo. I had a difficult time trying to get a good photo. Here is another look.
I made a z-fold card with a circle cut out that had a spinner. I used Unity Stamps' Life is Tough stamp set. I stamped the little cow with Memento Tuxedo Black ink on a cream piece of cardstock and added color with Ohuhu markers E463, MG170, W583, WG150. I used a circle die to cut it out. I also stamped the sentiment from the same stamp set, sorry, not shown, that says "life is tough but so are you" on cream cardstock with a brown ink and die cut a circle, the same size as the little cow. I cut a white card base 5 1/2" x 8 1/2". I scored along the long edge at 2 1/8" and 4 1/4". I found some patterned paper and cut two strips measuring just under 2 1/8" x 5 1/2" and one piece measure just under 4 1/4" x 5 1/2". I adhered the pieces to the front of the z-fold card. The pieces are just slightly narrower to allow the paper to fold. I die cut a circle about 1/2" wider in diameter than the little cow circle. I glued a piece of invisible thread about 6 1/2" long between the two circles and to the back of the first fold with glue. Before putting the card in an envelope, wind the little circle with cow so that the recipient upon taking the card out of the envelope, the little circle with cow will spin.
Thanks for visiting. Hope to see you tomorrow.
