Newton's Nook Designs - Inky Paws Challenge #19

Here's my card

Inky Paws Challenge #19 - Watercolor
I wasn't sure what to do. So, I started by looking at my Newton's Nook stamps for inspiration. Admittedly, I put a little more effort, than I usually do, for this card. I chose this set.

This card was actually my second attempt. I learned from my first attempt. I stamped the image on my watercolour paper and coloured it in with copics.

I stamped the image on masking paper and trimmed around the stamped image.

I adhered the mask over the coloured image. Added some water with a brush to the area around the mask. I added broken china, peacock feathers and salty ocean "splotches", moving it around with additional water. I carefully removed the mask - woohoo, it worked! Stamped the sentiment from the same stamp set.

Thanks for visiting.

  1. Super cute! I love that you tried something new - it turned out great! What an awesome idea to mask him off and color over him! Thanks so much for linking up to our inky paws challenge at Newton's Nook Designs!
