Here's my card

It's for the current challenge at Addicted to CAS
 

I added distress inks (broken china, peacock feathers and faded jeans) to a section of this iStencil stencil. I chose this stencil because it reminded me of splashes.

I have a collection of coloured and fussy-cut fish which is where I found the fish - not sure which stamp set he/she comes from. Sentiment is from this Simon Says STAMP set.

Uniko Studio Challenge #22

Anything Goes with the optional twist of a masculine card

I used this Uniko Stamp - Nautical Treasures stamp set. I added a bit of Distress Ink - Faded Jeans as the sea. On the kraft background piece, I stamped off once using SU Early Espresso randomly.

Time Out Challenges #34 - Mid Way Card

After my first Guest Designer card was posted, I felt tremendous relief! The pressure was off. I was asked if I'd be interested in submitting a second card for the mid way mark. I loved the colours, so I said yes.

I found this Memory Box stencil at my local craft store and felt it was perfect for this challenge. I used distress inks - spiced marmalade, picked raspberry and worn lipstick.

I used a Papertrey ink thank you die to finish off the card.

CAS(E) this Sketch! #129

Here's my card

It's for the current challenge at CAS(E) this Sketch!

I used this die to cut out the branch. While still "in" the negative cardstock, I used my daubers to add distress inks (peeled paint and abandoned coral) to the branch. I find that it is easier to add colour to fine die cuts if kept in their "negative" spaces.

House of Cards July Challenge

WOOHOO!  I can finally share that I've been named to the Design Team at House of Cards. It's a bit stressful though and there is a lot of self-doubt.  What if my card doesn't measure up?  What if people don't like my card?  What if I can't think of anything to do for the challenge? 

Here is my card for the July Challenge

It is inspired by the colours here



At first, I was trying to do something strawberry related. Yeah, that didn't work for me! I remembered this stamp

I used distress markers to colour the stamp. I spritzed a bit of water (two or three spritzes) and then applied it to my cardstock. I free-handed the black lines - intentionally making them squiggly because there is no way I could make them straight (even if I used a ruler)!
