Just back from a crafty weekend with my friend Amanda. We took part in Concord & 9's Winter Retreat, an online card-making event. It was so fun. Just remembered that I needed to post my card for the new challenge at Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge. Here's the sketch.
Here's my take on the sketch
With some distress inks - wilted violet, mermaid lagoon, fossilized amber, twisted citron, I created my own background paper on 100 lb bristol. I smooshed the inks, added a bit of water and using some plastic packaging, move the ink to the bristol. I continued until I was happy with the result. Now that I think about it, with the amount of patterned paper I own, why would I create patterned paper? Dunno! I cut the bristol to A2 size, 5 1/2" x 4 1/4". I cut some teal/blue cardstock to 5" x 2 1/2" and embossed it with Spellbinders Embossing Folder of the Month - EOM - November 23 called Meandering Floral to add some texture. I added a mauve fish tail banner. The sentiment uses Your Next Stamp's Cool Tag Banner Sentiments. To complete my card, I adhered the panel to a white A2 card base with double-sided tape.
We'd love to see what you create based on our sketch in our gallery.
