Die Cut Divas ~ Crafting with Poppystamps in June

You still have time to join our current challenge at Die Cut Divas. Our challenge this month is a color challenge. We ask that you use at least three of these colors. Black and white, and skin tones for "people" can be also be used.

Here's my card

For my card, I die cut the "Thank You" using Poppystamps' Thank You Poe Script die using a color as close to the left color on the color chart that I had. I die cut the flowers and greenery using Poppystamps' Flower and Leaf Sprinkles from white cardstock. I added color with Concord & 9th's Cayenne, Sorbet, Grapefruit and Grasshopper inks, applied with small ink blending brushes. I glued the sentiment onto a brown A2 card panel and glued the flowers and greenery around the sentiment die cut.

Addicted to CAS ~ Challenge #286

Hope you feel like creating a clean and simple card. We have a new clean and simple card challenge starting at Addicted to CAS. Here's our Code Word for the next two weeks.

Here's my card

I made this one layer Thank You card. I started with a white A2 card base and placed the circle stencil using Pink & Main's Mask It Circle, positioned slightly off the edge of the card. I added some color with tumbled glass and mermaid lagoon distress inks applied with an oval ink blending brush. I stamped the thistles using Inkadinkado Meadow stamp set and Versafine Onyx Black ink. The sentiment using Simon Says STAMP's Bouquet of Thanks stamp set.

I make Thank You cards most because a friend of mine has a non-profit. I donate Thank You cards to them and they send them out to their donors. Win-win situation!

Try A Sketch On Tuesday ~ Challenge #673

Time for a new challenge at Try A Sketch On Tuesday. Here's the sketch.

Here's my card

For my card, I started with the super cute Pawsome Stamps' Picture Pals stamp set. I stamped the lion, llama and giraffe on white cardstock with Memento Tuxedo Black ink. I added color with Ohuhu markers E194, E293, E761, Y696, YG040, YG150. I die cut the images with the Lawn Fawn Say Cheese, Again die set. I also die cut the "polaroid" frames using the same die using white cardstock. To help the "photos" stand out, I lightly ink blended the edges with tumbled glass distress ink. I found some patterned paper for the left background and a tone-on-tone yellow for the right background. I adhered the panels to a white A2 card base and glued the photos in place. I stamped the sentiment on a gray scrap of cardstock using the same stamp set, cut it into a double-fish tail banner and glued it onto the card.

Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge #635

It's Monday! That means that it's time for a new sketch challenge at Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge. Here's the sketch.

Here's my card

For my card, I started with the arches. I used Scrapbook.com's nested A2 arches and die cut one in shimmering silver and one in teal. I made some colored cardstock, starting with 100 lb bristol and ink smooshed mustard seed, spiced marmalade and picked raspberry distress inks along with some water. I let the bristol dry and then die cut using Memory Box's Large Olive Branch die. For the background, I used Spellbinders' Embossing Folder of the Month for January 2024, called Branching Out with a light gray A2 card panel. I glued the arches and olive branch in place. For the sentiment, I used Simon Says STAMP's Thanks stamp set. I stamped on a scrap of bright pink cardstock and fussy cut it out. I glued the sentiment in place. To complete my card, I adhered it to a white A2 card base with double-sided tape.

AAA Cards ~ Challenge #293

New clean and simple challenge starting at AAA Cards. Here's the challenge

Here's my card. I chose to add the Optional Twist of Sentiment Focus to my card.

For my card, I used Stamp Market supplies that I received as part of Scrapbook & Cards Today's Crop & Create Delivered October 2021. I used Stamp Market's A Bit of Everything stamp and die set. I cut cardstock to 1/8" widths. I glued them behind the white "thank you" heart die cut. I stamped the "so very much" with Versafine Onyx Black ink. I felt, that it needed a little something, so I dusted off my Stampin' Up's Double Scalloped Border Punch and used black cardstock for a fancy strip behind the heart. I glued the fancy strip and heart onto a light gray A2 card panel which was then adhered to a white A2 cardbase with double-sided tape to complete my clean and simple card.

Here's my card

For my card, I used both die cuts and stencils. I appreciate that some companies are now making stencils for coloring in images - some even layering stencils for the different colors. I used Altenew products that I received as part of Scrapbook & Cards Today's Crop & Create Delivered Spring 2025 kit. The Altenew products are Floral Laurel Outline stamp set, Floral Laurel die set and Floral Laurel simple coloring stencil set. When companies do this, it makes creating cards so much easier.I started by stamping the leafy cluster twice with Versafine Onyx Black ink. I added color with the three simple coloring stencils using distress inks - tumbled glass, mowed lawn and Gina K Design's soft stone inks applied with oval ink blending brushes. I die cut both leafy clusters and glued them to a medium gray A2 card panel. For the sentiment, I used the same Altenew stamp set, stamped onto light blue cardstock and die cut with the coordinating die. To complete my card, I adhered the panel to a white A2 card base with double-sided tape.

Here's my card

I just love this Lawn Fawn set - Shello Friend stamp set, die set and coloring stencils, that I received as part of Scrapbook & Cards Today's Crop & Create Delivered Spring 2025 event. We also received the Lawn Fawn Oceanwave Stencil Lawn Clippings in the same kit. For my card, I started with a white A2 card panel and Pink & Main's Mask it Circle stencil and the Lawn Fawn Oceanwave Stencil Lawn Clippings. I added color using distress inks - peacock feathers, mermaid lagoon, tumbled glass, adjusting the position of the oceanwave stencil as I changed colors, applied with oval ink blending brushes. For the adorable shrimp, the hearts and bubbles, I used the Shello Friend stamp set. I added color with the coloring stencils (so easy to use). I used Concord & 9th's honeysuckle ink (light hand and heavier hand) for the two shrimp layers and for the hearts. I stamped the sentiment in the bubble before adding color. I used Concord & 9th's oceanside ink for the bubbles. I die cut the stamped images and also the bit of seaweed. I added a bit of sparkle to the die cuts with a Sakura glitter gel pen. I waited for the glitter to dry before gluing the die cuts in place. To complete my card, I adhered the A2 panel to a white A2 card base with double-sided tape.
