We have a new challenge starting at Try A Sketch On Tuesday. Here's the sketch.
Here's my sketch
For my one-layer card, I started with a white A2 card base, side folding. I used Stampers Anonymous Tim Holtz Collection Splatters stencil and distress inks - faded jeans, candied apple, mustard seed, picked raspberry, wilted violet and salty ocean, applied with oval ink blending brushes. I wiped the stencil clean between colors and re-oriented the stencil before applying the next color. I also added some random background stamping which sadly didn't photograph well. I used Stampers Anonymous Tim Holtz Collection Euro Elements Cling stamp and Stampers Anonymous Tim Holtz Collection Bitty Grunge stamp and Concord & 9th's Dove ink. For the sentiment, I used Paper Smooches' Sentiment Sampler and Versafine Onyx Black ink.
We'd love to see how you're inspired by our sketch, in our gallery.

Wow! Spot on with the sketch inspiration photo Sue! Nicely done!
ReplyDeleteSure love the stenciled splatters and I can see some circular stamping in the background, interpretation of sketch is right on. Also, if these circles are stamps you have met the requirement at our sister challenge Double Trouble's recipe "Inky Pinkies" so don't forget to enter your card there too for chances at our random draw.
ReplyDeleteGreat card, Sue! Love the way you created the color mix. Great interpretation of the sketch, too.
