CASology Challenge Week 161: Plaid
Here's my card
It's for the current challenge at CASology
I used these two stamp sets to make my plaid. I "ruined" many pieces of paper before I ended up with a plaid that I was happy with. I found it difficult to keep the ink on only the stamp - I ended up with ink on my stamp press, my fingers and ultimately on my cardstock!
I used the happy die from this Die-namics Happy birthday die set on the plaid paper and also on fun foam. I used Tombow mono multi glue to adhere the cut out plaid letters onto the fun foam letters. I also adhered the "insides" of the letters on the card - taking care to use the correct piece in the correct orientation! I adhered the happy letters - which are raised due to the fun foam. Here's a close-up

Muse Card Challenge
Here's my card
It's for the current challenge at Muse
Here's the muse card by Tracey McNeely
My cards at Muse have typically been a copy of the Muse card. This time, I'm trying to "stretch outside my box". So ... instead of a palm tree, I went with this cute tree from Unity Stamps. I stamped with Archival jet black ink. I used my Zig Clean Color Real brush pens and a waterbrush to add color to the tree. I used the colors that Tracey used in her card. I added an orange banner with white heat embossing for the sentiment. I chose not to add flowers because I felt that I had incorporated enough of the colors.

CAS on Sunday Challenge #65
Here's my card
It's for the current challenge at CAS on Sunday
I used this Penny Black Dahlias stamp set with Versamark ink and silver embossing powder on vellum. I heat set the embossing powder. On the opposite side of vellum to the embossing powder, I added colour with copic markers. I backed the vellum with white cardstock and adhered to a piece of silver cardstock. For the sentiment, I again used silver embossing powder on red.

Pals Paper Arts PPA264: A Sketch Challenge
Here's my card
It's for the current challenge at Pals Paper Arts
I just purchased this stencil from Simon Says STAMP and was anxious to use it because it's groovy!
With ink blending tools, I added distress ink colour (twisted citron - my current fave, peacock feathers and faded jeans). I cut the panel into thirds and shortened the top and bottom of the right and left strips.
The sentiment is from this Paper Smooches stamp set.

Papertrey Ink - Make it Monday #221 - Masking Sentiments
Here's my card
It's for the current Make it Monday challenge at Papertrey Ink
The challenge is to use a masked sentiment.
I stamped the sentiment from this stamp set on a piece of scrap paper and fussy cut it to use as a mask. I put a couple pieces of a removable adhesive on the back to hold the sentiment in place.
Used flowers from these stamp sets with different colours of ink to complete the card. I removed the mask and stamped the sentiment in place.

Freshly Made Sketches #200
Here's my card
It's for the challenge at Freshly Made Sketches
Congratulations to Freshly Made Sketches on their 200th Challenge.
For the top panel, I used watercolour paper and Ken Oliver Lemon Yellow and Alizarin Crimson color burst. I spritzed it with enough water so that the colours blended.
I used this MFT die set to die cut the sentiment out of the panel (so now, I can use it on another card) and also out of white cardstock to inlay it.
I used this embossing folder to add a bit of interest to the lower panel.
I just couldn't leave it alone, so I added Wink of Stella to the sentiment to add a bit of bling.

Muse Card Challenge #129
Here's my card
It's for this week's challenge at Muse Card Club
Here is the muse card by Anita Bowden
I looked at the irregular rectangular shaped background inked through a stencil and chose a different irregular rectangle stencil by ARTplorations. Since I used this stencil, I'm also going to add my card to STAMPlorations Anything Goes Challenge
I also used distress inks and ink blending tools to add colour - twisted citron (my new favourite colour) and peacock feathers. I know that my ink is probably a bit too lime green - but I like it!
Instead of the gold embossed leaves, I chose this die cut from silver cardstock.
Anita added gold embossed dots, I used rhinestones for sparkle.
For my greeting, I chose a script "hello" from MFT.

Paper Smooches SPARKS - August 16 - 22 Anything Goes Challenge
Here's my card
It's for the current challenge at Paper Smooches
I stamped the jar with flowers with Ranger Archival Ink. I then used my Zig Clean Color Real brush markers and my water pen to add color. The markers really make my cards look awesome - almost like I know how to watercolor!
Add a bit of sparkle with some ribbon.

Unity Stamps - Friends with Flair
Here's my card
It's for this week's Friends with Flair at Unity Stamps
Angela, from Unity Stamps, posted a short video on Facebook encouraging us to try to make a tag by stamping and adding strips of colour with the aid of washi tape (I used post-it tape). I decided to incorporate the tag into a card for Friends with Flair. The sentiment is from the I Am Woman Sentiment Kit. Since there were lots of straight lines of colour on the tag, I chose the swirly embossing folder. I added a bit of shiny ribbon to add some sparkle.

My Favorite Things Summer School Lesson #14 Color: Saturation
Here's my card
It's for Summer School at My Favorite Things
Lesson #14 Color: Saturation
I love intense colours although I should probably one day try desaturated colours - either by stamping off (generational stamping) or using different inks.
I used this stencil and added distress ink with ink blending tools. I used some scrap paper to ensure that I didn't "accidentally" add ink where I didn't want it!
Sentiment is from the MFT stamp set.
