Die Cut Divas ~ Z-Fold Cards with Altenew

It's the last day of the August challenge at Die Cut Divas. Our challenge this month, is to create a Z-Fold card. Our sponsor this month is Altenew. They will be giving our winner a $20 gift card. Thank you Altenew for your generosity.

Here's my Z-Fold card

For my card, I used Altenew's Bold Bouquet kit consisting of a 3D embossing folder, outline stamp set, layering stencils and die set. I received the kit as part of Scrapbook & Cards Today's Crop & Create Delivered March 2023 event box. I started by stamping the large outline stamp on white cardstock, measuring 8 1/2" x 5 1/2" in varying orientations until there were no large open spaces. I cut the cardstock to 5 1/2" and just shy of 4 1/4", and two pieces at 5 1/2" and just shy of 2 1/8". The cardbase started as a 8 1/2" x 5 1/2" piece of cardstock. I scored at 2 1/8" and 4 1/4" to create the Z-Fold. When I adhered the stamped panels, I flipped the middle one so that the designs weren't to matchy-matchy! I embossed a white panel with the 3D embossing folder. I then lined the stencils up and added color using distress inks - picked raspberry, wilted violet, mowed lawn, applied with oval ink blending brushes. I then fussy cut the large bloom. I glued the left side of the bloom to the top fold of the card. I stamped the sentiment and die cut the You word using the coordinating die and trimmed the Thank word to a small rectangle. I glued these in place. For the center of the card, I die cut a white circle as a place for a message. I glued the circle so that it is hidden behind the bloom.

Here's a photo of the card opened up.

We'd love to see your Z-Fold cards in our gallery which is open only until 9 pm Pacific Time today.
