Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge #335

It's another Monday and it's time for a new sketch at Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge. Here is the sketch

Here's my card

I started with the butterfly stamped with Hero Arts Color Layering Butterflies stamp set and Hero Arts Orange Soda and Tangerine inks. I trimmed the panel to 2.25" x 5.5". I added the sentiment from My Favorite Things Blissful Butterflies stamped with Hero Arts Soft Granite ink. I found some printed paper to complement the card. I added a few sequins to complete the card.

We'd love to see how you're inspired by this week's sketch.

Addicted to Stamps and More! Challenge #359

It's time for a new challenge at Addicted to Stamps and More!. This week's challenge is

A Clean and Simple card should have clean and crisp lines, minimal or no embellishments and lots of 'white" space.

Here's my card

I started with a circle acrylic block (about 2.75" in diameter) and inked half with Salty Ocean distress ink and the other half with Cracked Pistachio distress ink. I spritzed the acrylic block with water and applied the acrylic block, water-side down onto a piece of 96 lb bristol. When dry, I stamped using the image from Unity Stamps' Flower of the Fall using Versafine Onyx Black ink. The sentiment is from Papertrey Ink's Communique Curves Sentiments stamp set. I trimmed the panel down slightly to mat with black cardstock.

We'd love to see what you create, remember it must be Clean and Simple.

Perfectly CAS - September Challenge

Hi! Introducing a new challenge site for you - Perfectly CAS. The premise of this challenge site is to cover one-third or less of a card (in other words, lots of white space)! Here's our first challenge

Here's my card

For my card, I stamped the leaves/flourishes from Clearly Besotted's Flowers and Flourishes with Hero Arts Green Hills ink in the upper left area of an A2 card. I stamped the flower from the same stamp set using Hero Arts Bubble Gum, Tide Pool and Orchid and then fussy cut the images. I adhered the flowers and popped up the tide pool one with dimensionals. For the sentiment, I had planned to stamp the sentiment from Your Next Stamp's Many Thanks stamp set on the A2 card. However, I didn't stamp it straight. So, to cover my oops, I stamped the sentiment on a scrap of teal cardstock, cut it into a banner and adhered it over my oops.

We'd love for you to join us. Please remember, lots of white space (actually, at least 2/3).

Thanks for dropping by

Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge #333

It's time for a new challenge at Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge. Here is this week's sketch

No photo description available.

Here's my card

I started by die-cutting a circle mask using Sizzix circle dies. I placed the mask on an A2 white card panel. I added colour to inside the circle, using distress oxides (salty ocean, broken china, faded jeans) applied with an oval makeup brush. Before removing the mask, I added the silhouettes, using Technique Tuesday's Growing Wild and Wildflowers stamp sets and Versafine Onyx Black ink. I carefully removed the mask and added the sentiment, from STAMPlorations The Birds and The Blooms stamp set.

We'd love to see how you're inspired by this week's sketch.

Addicted to Stamps and More! Challenge #357

Hi! It's time for a new challenge at Addicted to Stamps and More! This week the challenge is

A "Make Your Mark" challenge is one where you use anything that can make a mark - like markers, paints, chalks, watercolours, sponges, stencils, masks, etc. Here's my card

For my card, I started with an A2 white card panel. I then used My Favorite Things Mix-ables Sun Ray stencil and distress inks (mustard seed and spiced marmalade). I added ink with an ink blending tool. For the sentiment, I used a stamp from Technique Tuesday's Bring on the Sun stamp set and Versafine Onyx Black ink. To complete the card, I trimmed the panel slightly and matted on a bright yellow-orange card and added a few adhesive rhinestones for a bit of shine and sparkle.
