It's Monday and it's time for a new sketch at Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge
We'd love to see how you are inspired by this sketch.
Here's my card
The starburst icon on the right reminded me of the old Batman TV show - remember "oof", "bam", "pow"? So, I was inspired to make a superheroes card. I started with the starburst stamp from Papertrey Ink's Zappy Birthday stamp set. The word "amazing" is from My Favorite Things' You're Super stamp set. Using my MISTI, made it easy to place the sentiment in the starburst. The mask is from Papertrey Ink's Superhero stamp set. The sentiment is from the same stamp set. For the red vertical border, I stamped the silhouette of a superhero using Papertrey Ink's Superhero stamp set repeatedly in varying directions. I decided on a red/white/blue color scheme for my superhero card.

Addicted to Stamps and More! Challenge #325
Hi! I'm just back from a "winter wonderland" vacation with my sister. I live in Vancouver and winter here means rain. It was beautiful to be around snow.
The new challenge at Addicted to Stamps and More! is a photo challenge
Here's my card
I was inspired by the vertical stripes in different shades of pink/red/white, the postage stamps and the bold dark red color of the door of the photo inspiration. For the stripes, I used Stampin' Up's Stripes Decorative Mask and distress inks (picked raspberry, barn door, worn lipstick, spun sugar, abandoned coral). I used scraps of patterned paper in the same color family and punched postage stamp squares with Stampin' Up's Postage Stamp punch and adhered them on point. I then die cut the word hello using My Favorite Things' Happy Hellos die-namics from a scrap of bold dark red. I adhered the letters askew because I felt that the XOXO of the inspiration photo were a bit askew.
How will you be inspired? We'd love to see.

STAMPlorations January Reminder Post
Over at STAMPlorations, there are multiple challenges for January, 2019 in progress. For the CAS challenge, the inspiration is
Here's my card
I started by stamping the framed image using STAMPlorations' Faith Expressions stamp set with Memento Tuxedo Black ink. I used Memento ink because I knew that I would be adding color with Copic markers and I find the Memento ink doesn't bleed with Copic markers. I added color with Copics R59, C2, W3, B60. I trimmed the framed image and double matted it with burgundy and black cardstock. For the sentiment from the same stamp set, I didn't have an ink in a burgundy color (WHAT???), so I improvised. I stamped the sentiment with both Hero Arts Wet Cement and Raspberry Jam and got a burgundy-ish color. I think it works.
We'd love for you to join us this month at STAMPlorations

Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge #299
Happy Monday! It's time for a new challenge at Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge. Here is this week's sketch.
Here's my card
Honestly, I have difficult when things are not horizontal/vertical. My brain struggles when things are askew, on purpose!
I started by selecting this gorgeous patterned paper - My Minds Eye Memorable Journey Adventure Paper. I chose some papers, some patterned and some regular cardstock in colors that went with the "askew" paper. The sentiment is from Paper Smooches Salutations stamp set. The flower is die cut using MFT's Flower and Leaf Trio Die-namics.
Would love to see what you create with this week's sketch.

Here's my project (believe it or not, it's a scrapbook page). If you check out my blog, there are very few, if any other scrapbook pages. Maybe, I'm starting to diversify!
This was such an easy "hop" to join as I had just visited the Happiest Place on Earth - Disneyland and California Adventure in October with a friend. She indulged my "need" to collect autographs and was my photographer, especially valuable when "official" photographers were not around. I'm in the process of completing an 8"x8" album with a double page spread for each character whose autograph I collected. I used photos taken of me with the characters to complement the autograph.
I attended last year's Stamp and Scrapbook Expo in Puyallup, WA. There, I purchased the "Mousy 2018 Blue" die cut which I am using for the cover page of my album. I printed 1.5"x1.5" photos of me with various characters to add to the cover page. When I laid the photos out, they seemed bland. So, I added a colorful background with yellow and red strips of cardstock and a blue square for the centre. I think that it helps to make the photos stand out more.
Here's our line up in case you get lost along the way.

Addicted to Stamps and More #323
Happy New Year friends!
I have NEWS! I've joined the design team at Addicted to Stamps and More. I am excited to work on new techniques and designs, work with new products (and some not so new but unused products in my stash) and to continue to work at my craft.
Here is this week's challenge
Here's my card
Well, although I realize that Christmas season 2018 is over, I spent Christmas in Hawaii and it just didn't feel the same. I mean, how could it be Christmas when I'm walking around in a tank top, shorts and wearing flip flops - especially being Canadian, eh?
I inked up an acrylic block with some blue distress marker (broken china, salty ocean, tumbled glass, faded jeans) scribbles and lighty spritzed with water before applying it to a 96lb bristol card panel. I stamped the tree from Stampin' Up's Lovely As A Tree offset to the left. I added Nuvo White Blizzard Glitter drops on some of the branches of the tree for a bit of sparkle. Here's a close-up.
For the sentiment, I heat embossed with silver embossing powder using Paper Smooches' Blessed Christmas stamp set. I trimmed the panel and matted on teal cardstock.
Thanks so much for stopping by. We'd love for you to join our "Holiday" challenge this week.

STAMPlorations CAS ~ January Challenge
Happy New Year friends! We're getting this new year off to a roaring start with a new challenge at STAMPlorations CAS
Here's my card
The color burgundy was my mom's favorite. Every time I see something that color, I'm reminded of her and remember her. It makes me smile.
I started by stamping STAMPlorations Blossom Sprays #3 with Memento Tuxedo Black ink. I applied color with Copic markers R59, R22, W3. I trimmed the panel down to 3.5" x 3.25" and matted it with burgundy cardstock. I adhered it to a white cardbase and added the sentiment from STAMPlorations Fond Expressions 2 stamp set.
We'd love for you to join us this month.
