I'm up today at a2z Scrapbooking.
Here's my card
I started by using Simon Says STAMP Tri Square craft die with a piece of kraft cardstock. Then, I used a Cuttlebug Oxford embossing folder to add a bit of detail to the background. I chose three images from Hero Arts Purr stamp set and aligned them with the square cut-outs on a piece of white cardstock. I coloured the images with Copics. The sentiment is from the same stamp set. I used Stampin' Up's oval and scalloped oval punches to complete the card.
If you're looking for Hero Arts products, take a look at the a2z Scrappbooking etsy store. When your cart gets to $25, use my code Sue15 for 15% off your purchase.

STAMPlorations CAS Card Challenge #16
It's time for the mid-month post for the current CAS Card Challenge at STAMPlorations. The current challenge is
We'd love for you to join us for this challenge. Challenge rules include a maximum of three CAS cards submitted per month; you don't have to use STAMPlorations products on your card (who wouldn't want to, their products are so awesome!) and it's your choice whether to include the optional color twist, or not.
Here's my card
I started with Dragonfly Waltz ARTplorations stencil, distress inks (picked raspberry, cracked pistachio and blueprint sketch) applied with ink daubers. To prevent too much overlap of color, I used scrap paper to cover sections where I didn't want the color to go. The sentiment is from STAMPlorations' Fond Expressions 2 stamp set. I added a few sequins to complete the card.

Calling All Sistahs - April Edition
It's the 17th of the month. That means, it's time to remind all the women in your life to do their monthly self-exams and annual mammograms. This campaign was started by Michele Gross of CAS-ual Fridays Stamps upon her discovery and diagnosis of breast cancer. Michele designed the Calling All Sistahs collection to help us remind each other of this important campaign. Michele donates 50% of the proceeds of the sales from this collection to the National Breast Cancer Foundation.
Did you know that one in eight women in the US (or one in nine women in Canada) will be diagnosed with invasive breast cancer. Look around, do you see eight women? Think about it, on average, one of those eight will receive the diagnosis of breast cancer. It's frightening to think about! We can increase the odds and through early detection, increase the survivor rate, through monthly self-exams and annual mammograms.

I started with CAS-ual Fridays' Full On Floral stamp, Versamark ink, white embossing powder and my heat tool. I added colour with distress inks (spun sugar, worn lipstick and picked raspberry) randomly. I matted the card with a piece of bright pink. Out of the same pink, I die cut using CAS-ual Fridays' Hope Fri-die and a small heart using a heart die. I added some sparkle with Wink of Stella on the hope and heart die cuts.
I have a friend, recently diagnosed with breast cancer. I'm going to send her this card.

a2z Scrapbooking
Sometimes I think it's a good idea to push yourself a little outside your comfort zone. After all, it's only paper, right? I usually prefer the clean and simple look with lots of white space. I felt it was time to give something else a try.
Here's my card
See - no white space - LOL! I started by using Hero Arts CL949 You're So Lovely stamp set with versamark ink and white embossing powder. I heat set the images. I love the Hero Arts ink cubes. They are an affordable alternative to adding more ink colours while not breaking the bank. For this card, I used the Kelly's Flowers, Quiet Morning, Libby's Purple Garden, Jayne's Fall Colors and Lucy's Floral Favorites ink cube sets. Specifically, the colours used were Green Hills, Emerald Green, Tide Pool, Soft Pool, Orchid, Passion Flower, Pale Tomato, Butter Bar, Tangerine and Ultra Pink. I smudged the ink onto an acrylic block and picked up the ink with a water brush. To get more intense colours, limit the amount of water added. To complete the card, I added a few sequins for a bit of sparkle. Here's a close-up

We'd love for you to join us. Be sure to use a Hero Arts product as your focus and tell us what your favorite Hero Arts product is. For me, it's the variety of ink cubes.

STAMPlorations CAS Card Challenge #16
I've had to keep this secret for what seems like forever. I feel so blessed to have been named to a Guest Designer position at STAMPlorations for their CAS Card Challenges. I stumbled upon STAMPlorations a couple of years ago and slowly am building up my collection.
Our challenge this month is
We'd love to have you join us this month. Blog rules include a maximum of three Clean & Simple (CAS) cards each month, you don't have to use STAMPlorations products to join in (why wouldn't you - they are great!) and it's your option whether to include the optional color twist, or not.
Here's my card
I used STAMPlorations SKETCHED: Tulips stamp with versamark ink on vellum, followed by silver embossing powder and heat set with my heat tool. I coloured in the opposite side of the vellum with copics V12, V15 and G05. I framed the vellum with some silver shimmer paper. To complete the card, I added a silver chiffon bow on the upper left corner.

House of Cards - April Challenge
Happy April 1st ... It's April Fools' Day. No fooling around here. It's time for a new challenge at House of Cards
Here's my card
I was inspired by the colours and feathers of this challenge. I used The Crafters Workshop's TCW389s Mini Fancy Feathers stencil. I added colour with distress inks (cracked pistachio, salty ocean and ground espresso) and ink daubers. I started with one feather. It didn't seem enough, so I added two more. The sentiment is from Simon Says STAMP Big Scripty Greetings. I added a dark brown mat for the card to complete it.
We'd love for you to join us this month. Thanks for visiting.
