Addicted to Stamps and More! Challenge #514

Hi Crafty Friends! There is a new challenge starting at Addicted to Stamps and More! For the next two weeks, our challenge is

Here's my card

A co-worker of mine (one of my favorite co-workers) was just promoted. So, I created this card. It was the first time that I made something like this. Good thing I like this co-worker because it took a few hours to create. I started by stamping this cute bunny using Avery Elle's Shout it Out stamp set and Memento Tuxedo Black ink. I also stamped these hard hats and safety vests using Pretty Pink Posh's Utility Vehicles stamp set. I colored the images with Ohuhu markers B289, B575, BG042, FY010, FY020, G483, MG170, R193, R586, WG170, Y494 and fussy tu them. I used Honey Bee's Layering Streamers - Confetti stencil with candied apple, carved pumpkin, mustard seed distress inks applied with small oval ink blending brushes. The sentiment is cut with a die that I received as part of Scrapbook & Cards' Celebrations Delivered event kit, held February 2024. I glued the pieces to the front of a white A2 card base. Inside ...

I used Concord & 9th's Pop-Up Base dies. I stamped the fire hydrants using Avery Elle's Dog-Gone stamp set with Memento Tuxedo Black ink. The dump truck and loader were made using Pretty Pink Posh's Layered Construction Trucks stencil and mustard seed, black soot, weather wood distress inks applied with oval ink blending brushes. I fussy cut the images out. For the trees, I used dies that I received in my Concord & 9th's Winter Retreat 2026 kit.

We'd love to see your ANY OCCASION cards in our gallery.

Try A Sketch On Tuesday ~ Challenge #692

It's time for a new challenge at Try A Sketch On Tuesday. Here's the sketch.

Here's my card

For my card, I started with this little pirate using Avery Elle's Ahoy, Matey stamp set. I stamped the image with Memento Tuxedo Black ink on white cardstock. I added color with Ohuhu markers MG170, R193, V189, V284, Y696, Y792. I die cut the image using a My Favorite Things' Stitched Square STAX die. I matted the stitched die cut with purple cardstock. I stamped the sentiment using the same stamp set on the same purple cardstock. and trimmed to a sentiment strip. For the background, I used STAMPlorations' Artsy Swirls stencil with peacock feathers, mermaid lagoon and tumbled glass distress inks, applied with oval ink blending brushes. I cut two strips 1 1/2" x 4 1/4" of the stencilled panel. On a teal A2 card base, I adhered the two strips, the focal image and the sentiment strip to complete my card.

Die Cut Divas ~ Last Day of our March Challenge with Gina K Designs

Our challenge for the month of March at Die Cut Divas, is

SPRING IS COMING!

Our sponsor this month is Gina K Designs who will be giving our winner a $25 gift card to their online store. A big thank you to Gina K Designs for their generosity.

Here's my spring-inspired card.

I feel that Spring is synonymous with flowers. After a long, rainy winter here in the Pacific Northwest, the appearance of flowers signals that Spring has arrived. For my card, I used Gina K Designs' Fancy Florals Layering Stencils and coordinating die set, Fancy Phrases Stamp set and coordinating Die set. I received these products as part of the Scrapbook & Cards Today's Crop & Create Delivered Fall 2023 event kit. I used distress inks - picked raspberry, spiced marmalade, cracked pistachio, evergreen bough applied with oval ink blending brushes and the layering stencils. I die cut the floral bough using the coordinating die. For the sentiment, I stamped it using stamp set and die cut the sentiment. To complete my card, I used a white A2 card base and adhered a light gray stitched rectangle to the center. I glued the floral bough and sentiment in place as a final step.

We'd love to see your SPRING-inspired cards in our gallery. The gallery closes tonight at 9 pm Pacific.

Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge #675

Happy Monday! Time for a new sketch challenge at Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge. Here's our sketch.

Here's my card

I created this Christmas cards using some scraps of patterned papers. I cut 1/2" strips from two different Christmas patterned papers. I couldn't bring myself to making the patterned slightly askew so I created a somewhat symmetrical pattern and glued the strips in place on a white A2 card base. Using Sizzix Thinlits - Funky Festive dies, I die-cut the poinsettia and foliage and glued them in place. For the sentiment, I used Hero Arts Winter Silhouettes and gold embossing powder to complete my card.

We'd love to see what you create based on our sketch in our gallery.

AAA Cards ~ Challenge #311

Ready for another clean and simple challenge? Over at AAA Cards, we have a fun challenge.

This was a tough one for me. I couldn't find something interesting that started with the letter E. I found a Kindred Stamps stamp set with Eeyore and felt this was my E word (after all, Eeyore has 3 Es out of 6 letters!). Here's my card

For my card, I used the Eeyore stamp from Kindred Stamps' Childhood Friends stamp set. I stamped Eeyore with Memento Tuxedo Black ink on white cardstock. I added color with Ohuhu markers MG069, MG109 and Copic markers E41, V06. I cut the cardstock into a 2" square. I matted with dark gray cardstock. I found some weathered plank patterned paper and cut a 4 1/4" x 1 1/2" strip to back the focal panel. I adhered the strip and the focal square onto a white A2 card base and I used Simon Says STAMP's Handwritten Sentiments stamp set for the sentiment.

We'd love to see what you create based on the letter E in our gallery.

I find that making clean and simple cards really helps me to calm down after a hectic day. Papercrafting really is my therapy! We have a new clean and simple challenge starting at Addicted to CAS. Here's our code word.

Here's my card

For my card, I used Simon Says STAMP's Fancy Thank You die. I die cut the sentiment from a white A2 card panel. I then cut some 1/4 strips from different colors of cardstock. I glued them on an angle to the back of the panel, covering the area that was cut out. To complete my card, I adhered the panel to a white A2 card base with double-sided tape.

We'd love to see how you incorporate stripes onto your clean and simple card in our gallery.

Addicted to Stamps and More! ~ Challenge #513

The next challenge in our challenge rotation at Addicted to Stamps and More! is

Here's my card

For my card, I started by creating my background panel. You would think that based on the huge collection of patterned papers in my stash that I wouldn't have to create my own background paper. However, it's so fun. I started with a panel of 100 lb bristol and distress inks - wilted violet, cracked pistachio, mermaid lagoon. I smooshed the ink on a plastic place mat, spritzed a bit of water and picked up the ink with a piece of acetate packaging. I added one color at a time and continued until I was happy with the result. I let the panel dry. Once dry, I die cut it with a My Favorite Things' Stitched Square STAX die. I die cut the sprig using Memory Box's Large Olive Branch die and some silver cardstock and glued it to the smooshed panel, trimming the excess. For the sentiment, I used Clearly Besotted's A Little Sentimental with silver embossing powder on a white A2 card base. To complete my card, I adhered the watercolor panel to the card base with double-sided tape.

We'd love to see your BIRTHDAY creations in our gallery.

Try A Sketch On Tuesday ~ Challenge #691

Time for a new challenge at Try A Sketch On Tuesday. Here's our sketch

Here's my take on the sketch

I created a gate fold card. Here's a photo of it opened up.

On both sides of the closed gate fold card, I used Gina K Designs' Decorative Double Stencil, which I received as part of the Scrapbook and Cards Today's Crop & Create Delivered Fall 2023 event kit. I applied antique linen distress ink through the stencil to both fronts of the gatefold card. I die cut the flowers from white cardstock using Spellbinders' Stylish Oval Hello You Floral dies that I received as part of the Scrapbook and Cards Today's Crop & Create Delivered Spring 2023 event kit. I added color with picked raspberry, fossilized amber and peeled paint distress ink applied with oval ink blending brushes. I assembled the flower and leaves pieces and glued the pieces together. I glued the flowers and leaves to the front of the card, remembering to only glue the left side of the central flower. For the sentiment, I used Simon Says STAMP's Bouquet of Thanks stamp set and gold embossing powder on a scrap of pink cardstock. I trimmed the sentiment into a wide sentiment strip and glued it into place.

We'd love to see what you create based on our sketch in our gallery.

Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge #673

Happy Monday everyone! Time for a new challenge at Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge. Here's the sketch.

Here's my card

For my card, I started with the cute cow using Your Next Stamp's Funny Farm Crew stamp set. I stamped it on white cardstock with Memento Tuxedo Black ink. I added color with Copic markers C5, E37, E41. I fussy cut the image out. For the background, I used My Favorite Things' Mini Cloud Edges stencil with tumbled glass distress ink applied with an oval ink blending brush for the clouds and Simon Says STAMP's Slimline Floral stencil with peeled paint distress ink applied with an oval ink blending brush for the grass. I trimmed the panel down to 2 3/8" x 2 3/8" and matted with brown. I glued the cow in the center of the scene. I found some striped patterned paper that worked with my cow and little scene. I cut it to 5 1/4" x 2 1/8" and adhered it to a natural A2 card base. I stamped the sentiment, gotta love a pun-ny sentiment from the same stamp set on a scrap of natural cardstock and trimmed it down to a sentiment strip. I glued the focal element and the sentiment in place to complete my card.

We'd love to see what you create based on our sketch in our gallery.

Zoo animals? How could I resist? Yup, I couldn't! For my card, I used Pawsome Stamps' Picture Pals. I stamped the animals with Memento Tuxedo Black ink on white cardstock. I added color with Ohuhu markers B575, E769, G483, R586, WG170, Y696, 120 and Copic markers E41, E43, R11. I used a 1 1/2" circle punch to punch out each animal. For the background, I masked off a 2" area of a light gray A2 card panel and used STAMPlorations ARTplorations Crisscrossed stencil with Concord & 9th's Mushroom ink applied with an ink blending brush. Our sponsor this month is Gina K Designs who will be giving our winner a $25 gift card to their online store. A big thank you to Gina K Designs for their generosity.

Here's my spring-inspired card.

I love that spring brings us flowers. It's so wonderful to see colors instead of the drab, gray, rainy days here in the Pacific Northwest. For my card, I used Gina K Design's Hand-Picked Flowers die set, stamp set and stencil set which I received as part of Scrapbook and Cards Today's Crop & Create Delivered Spring 2025 event kit. I stamped the image and added color with the stencils and distress inks - picked raspberry, salty ocean, dusty concord and cracked pistachio applied with oval ink blending brushes. I then die cut the image with the coordinating die. I stamped the sentiment from the same stamp set and then die cut it with the coordinating die. I found some patterned paper that worked with the image and cut it to A2 size. I glued the image and sentiment in place. To complete my card, I adhered the panel to a white A2 card base with double-sided tape.

Addicted to Stamps and More! ~ Challenge #512

We have a new challenge at Addicted to Stamps and More! The next challenge in our rotation is

Here's my card

For my card, I used Taylored Expressions' Triple Slimline Layering Stencils - Holly Holiday. What I love about this kind of Taylored Expressions' stencils is that you created multiple card fronts at the same time. So I used the layering stencils and distress inks - candied apple, fired brick, mowed lawn, old paper applied with oval ink blending brushes. I cut the three panels and chose this one to start. To complete the card, I die cut the sentiment using Simon Says STAMP's Deco Tree die set with gold cardstock and glued it in place. To finish my card, I adhered this panel to a white 5 3/4" x 3 1/4" card base with double-sided tape.

We'd love to see your Christmas cards in our gallery. It's not early to get a start!

Try A Sketch On Tuesday ~ Challenge #690

Time for a new challenge at Try A Sketch On Tuesday. Here's our sketch.

Here's my card

So I stretched a bit. Instead of the square element, I went with hexagons, created using Simon Says STAMP's Hexagon Element wafer die and kraft cardstock. I die cut two and glued them together for a bit of dimension. I used the same die and die cut hexagons from light gray, yellow and black. For the two hexagon elements, I replaced them with a floral sprig and a bee. I made those using Pink & Main's Hey Honey stamp set and die set that was part of Scrapbook and Cards' Crop & Create Delivered Spring 2022 kit. I stamped the two images with Memento Tuxedo Black ink and added color with Ohuhu markers - BG042, G191, G482, G483, G554, RV390, V189, V284, Y295, Y495. I die cut the images with the coordinating dies. The sentiment uses Honey Bee Stamps' You're A Keeper stamp set that I also received as part of the same Crop & Create Delivered event kit. To assemble the card, I glued the hexagon element to a white A2 card base and glued random hexagons, leaving some empty. I glued the floral sprig, bee and sentiment strip in place to complete my card.

We'd love to see what you create based on our sketch in our gallery.
